There are a lot of companions available in Fallout 4. Some in the vanilla game, some you’ll meet from DLC. However, with the use of mods, you can get even more companions that have thousands of different voice lines. Or equipment that changes the behavior and effectiveness of companions.
Having a prefix like;; in front of your shortcuts would make sure you only expand what you really want to. Also, it's not that much effort for typing. Nano replace text. You could change your shortcuts. Similarly, I use l@g for expanding my email-address, which doesn't make any problems since I never type l@ anywhere else. This could be called a workaround, but as it seems it's the only option that should work reliably.
Below, we’ve run through some of the best companion mods available for Fallout 4 in 2019. All these buttons link back to Bethesda.net, where you can install the mods on your Xbox One. This list is in no particular order.
Everyone’s Best Friend Dogmeat
This mod allows you to have Dogmeat as a companion at all times, as well as someone else. That way, you can have both Dogmeat and Codsworth at the same time for example. The main benefit to this is having extra help in fights, as well as extra carry weight. Twice as many companions to block doorways though.
K-9 Harness
Adds a new modular body armor for Dogmeat, which is highly customizable and offers some unique features such as patches, extra armor stats and up to 80 extra carry weight. This mod will go great with Everyone’s Best Friend Dogmeat above.
Dark Husky Dogmeat
This PC port turns Dogmeat into a Husky breed. It’s simply an aesthetic mod and doesn’t change anything when it comes to carry weight, animations etc. Some other companion mods may be incompatible with this one if the meshes are different.
Infinite Ammo for Companions
This mod is a necessity in my opinion. It makes your companions have infinite ammunition for their weapons, which is incredibly helpful. No longer will they run out of ammo mid fight, and neither will you as you’ll no longer need to keep swapping it over!
Nora Companion
By making some small changes to the Fallout 4 story, this mod allows you to have Nora as a companion. She has full voice lines and interactions, and works like any other companion. As soon as you exit Vault 111, a quest will trigger allowing you to find Nora.
WRVR – New Companion & Radio Station
WRVR adds a new quest line to Fallout 4, which gives you access to a new radio station. After completing the quest line, you will receive the DJ Casey Kessler as a companion, who can then follow you around the wasteland.
Unlimited Companion Framework
Unlimited Companions Framework does exactly what you think, it allows you to have as many companions following you as you want. It also has support for all of the DLC companions in Fallout 4.
![]() Heather Casdin
Heather Casdin is a new companion, who you can get as a follower by completing her quest line. She has over 1200 lines of dialogue, which she will say at the right times, such as random encounters. As soon as you leave the vault, you will receive a quest which will guide you towards Heather.
Loving Piper
Loving Piper is a beautification mod that changes the appearance of Companion. It was originally a PC mod, but was ported over to Xbox One. Due to it using unique hairstyles, you are required to install the Azar Hair mod. More variations of this mod are available, but for different companions such as Cait.
Push Away CompanionsFallout 4 Radio Mod Reddit
One of the most annoying things about companions in Fallout 4 is their behavior. Most of the time, they’ll just stop in a doorway that you need to get through. This mod integrates a push option when selecting a companion, so that they will move out the way.
