Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords is a role-playing video game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by LucasArts. It is the sequel to BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and was released for the Xbox on December 6, 2004, for Microsoft Windows on February 8, 2005, and OS X and Linux on July 21, 2015. Like its predecessor, it is set in the Star Wars universe 4,000 years before the events of the film Episode I: The Phantom Menace and is based on the d20 System developed by Wizards of the Coast. The game uses the Odyssey Engine, which was originally used in Knights of the Old Republic. The plot first started being written before the original Knights of the Old Republic was released, and development began in October 2003, after BioWare offered Obsidian their Star Wars license due to being confident in their previous work.
Knights of the Old Republic II starts five years after the events of the first game and follows the story of The Exile, a Jedi Knight who was exiled from the Jedi Order. During this time, the Jedi Order has been almost completely wiped out by the Sith. The game begins with the protagonist waking up from unconsciousness on an asteroid mining facility. After he or she escapes with the help of their party members, they find the person who exiled them ten years ago, who sends the protagonist on a mission to seek out the remaining Jedi to fight against the Sith.
The game's critical reception upon its release was generally positive; praise was given to the story, characters, and writing, which were noted to be more grey than the original Knights of the Old Republic. Particular praise was given to one of the game's party members Kreia, with GameSpy naming her the best video game character of 2005. However, the game received criticism for being too similar to its predecessor in terms of graphics and gameplay systems. The game was included in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die.

Gameplay[edit]

Knights of the Old Republic II is a role-playing video game played from a third-person view that features pausable real-time combat.[1] Combat and interactions with the environment and non-player characters in Knights of the Old Republic II are based on the d20 System as in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.[2] The game starts with a character creation screen with several choices to make, and there is also an option of letting the game do it automatically.[3] There are 30 new Force powers, which are manifestations of the Force, in Knights of the Old Republic II.[4] Like its predecessor, the game has several minigames, including swoop bike racing and a card game called Pazaak.[5] The interface has been streamlined from the original game and party management has been made easier; for example, the player can switch between two selected weapon sets in the menu.[3] As in the first game, the player can choose to align with either the light side or the dark side. Choosing dialogue options that are respectful and empathetic gives the protagonist light side points, while options that are egotistic and evil result in dark side points.[1]
The combat of Knights of the Old Republic II is identical to its predecessor.[6][7][8] Several new lightsaber forms were added to the game.[9] Each of them is useful for a different situation.[10] For example, one is best for enemies using blaster weapons, while another would be good for recovering from using Force powers.[10] The player can use a variety of melee and ranged weapons, including swords and firearms.[10] Fighting unarmed is also an option.[10] A new addition to the game is 'prestige classes', add-ons to the Jedi classes that were established in Knights of the Old Republic. They allow the player character to practice in lightsaber combat or Force powers, depending on player choice.[1]
The player can travel with up to two party members at a time, which gain experience points at the same rate as the player character.[1] Equipment and perks for party characters can be selected for different statistical effects or abilities.[11] Players can loot corpses and various environmental objects.[11] The protagonist also has the ability to 'influence' their party members; by doing things that impress them, the player increases their influence with them.[10] Depending on the level of influence, party members may support the player character unconditionally or turn against the protagonist. The player can also exploit high influence by drawing party members to either the light side or the dark side, and some characters can even be trained to use the Force.[12][13]
Synopsis[edit]
Setting[edit]
The game takes place five years after the events of Knights of the Old Republic and 4,000 years before Episode I: The Phantom Menace,[14][15] in a time when the Jedi have been nearly exterminated by the Sith.[16] The player's character, a former Jedi Knight exiled from the Jedi Order, is referred to as 'The Exile' or 'Jedi Exile'. Throughout the game, the Exile restores their connection to the Force while, with the help of non-playable companions, setting out to stop the Sith. The player makes choices that turn the Exile to either the light side or the dark side of the Force, and they travel to six planets to either help or hinder the Republic's efforts to bring peace and stability to the galaxy.[17]
New playable locations in Knights of the Old Republic II include Telos IV, Onderon and its moon Dxun, Nar Shaddaa, Malachor V, the Peragus Mining Facility, and various starships such as the hijacked Republic cruiser Harbinger, the Sith cruiser Ravager, and Goto's yacht orbiting Nar Shaddaa.[17] Two planets featured in the original game, Korriban and Dantooine, are revisited, both with ravaged buildings and intensified problems.[17] The Ebon Hawk, the main character's ship in the first game, is also the player's transportation in Knights of the Old Republic II.[17][18]
Characters[edit]
The Exile's backstory reveals that the character served under Revan during the Mandalorian Wars and ordered the activation of a devastating weapon in the climactic battle over Malachor V. The deaths that ensued created such a substantial 'wound' in the Force that the character was forced to sever their connection to the Force to survive, and the Jedi Council ordered the character exiled from the Jedi Order.[17] As the game progresses, the Jedi Exile rebuilds a connection to the Force and creates unusually strong Force Bonds with other characters and places, while unknowingly sapping Force powers.[17]
Among the characters who join the Jedi Exile are Kreia, who acts as the Exile's mentor;[17][19] pilot and former Sith assassinAtton Rand; technician and Mandalorian War veteran Bao-Dur and his droid remote;[17] the criminal droid G0-T0;[17] and the Sith apprentice Visas Marr. T3-M4 and Canderous Ordo (now identified as 'Mandalore'), both featured in the first game, also join the Exile's team.[17] Other characters join the Exile's party under certain conditions. HK-47, who appears in the first game, joins the quest if the Exile collects and uses the parts necessary to reactivate him.[17] Depending on the player's alignment, the Exile will either be joined by the bounty hunterMira (light side or neutral)[17] or by her rival, a Wookiee bounty hunter known as Hanharr (dark side).[17] Depending on the player's gender (canonically female), the Exile will either be joined by Mical the Disciple (female) or Brianna the Handmaiden (male).[17]
The game features three main antagonists: Darth Traya, a mysterious assailant who remains in the dark through most of the game;[17]Darth Sion, an undead Sith Lord with a murderous hatred for Jedi;[17] and Darth Nihilus, a Sith Lord whose physical being was destroyed due to his immense affinity to the Force.[17]
Plot[edit]
While hiding on the Harbinger, a Republic cruiser, the Exile is sedated by HK-50, an assassin droid, to be delivered to a crime syndicate called the Exchange, who have put out a bounty on live Jedi. The Exile is rescued by Kreia, with whom the Exile forms a Force Bond with, and the droid T3-M4 on the Ebon Hawk, and the three flee the Harbinger as it is hijacked by a squad of Sith assassins. However, their ship is damaged during the escape by the Harbinger's gunfire, and they eventually arrive at the Peragus Mining Facility. Teaming up with smuggler Atton Rand, the group escapes to the planet Telos IV. While hiding out on Telos, they encounter Atris, a surviving member of the Jedi Council who sentenced the protagonist to exile ten years prior. After settling a dispute regarding the Exile's past sentence, Atris forms an uneasy alliance with them, instructing them to seek out other surviving Jedi in order to rally against the Sith. The Exile then travels to four worlds to find reclusive Jedi Masters and either beg for their aid or kill them in revenge for being exiled, depending on player choice. As the Exile continues their journey, they are joined by several individuals in their quest.[17]
After finding all the Masters, the Exile travels back to Dantooine and learns that the countless deaths at Malachor V resulted in the Exile unconsciously giving up their connection to the Force, which then became the teachings of the new Sith. If the player aided the Jedi Masters, they prepare to strip the Exile of their Force connection permanently, as the Masters fear that these teachings could result in the actual death of the Force, but Kreia reveals herself to be the former leader of the Sith and murders them all in retribution. If the player killed the Jedi Masters, Kreia attacks the Exile and leaves. Tracking Kreia to Telos, the Exile fights and defeats a corrupted Atris, from whom it is learned that Kreia plans to strengthen a massive wound in the Force made ten years prior. This wound had been created by the Exile during the Mandalorian Wars, when they activated a superweapon in order to end the battle on the planet Malachor V, causing mass death and destruction. Before following her to Malachor V, where Kreia had since rejoined the Sith as Darth Traya, the Exile stops a Sith invasion of Telos, defeating one of Traya's former apprentices, the Sith Lord Darth Nihilus. On Malachor V, the Exile is separated from their companions and fights through hordes of monsters on the planet's surface and the inhabitants of a large Sith Academy that survived the cataclysm. On the final floor of the academy, the Exile kills the Sith Lord Darth Sion and confronts Darth Traya in the planet's core.[17]
The Exile defeats the Sith Lord, but before Traya dies, she delivers a prophetic vision of the future pertaining to the player's companions and the worlds that were visited over the course of the story. Depending on the Exile's alignment, they either order the destruction of Malachor V, escaping before it is destroyed, and travel into the Unknown Regions in search of Revan (light side), or remain on Malachor V as the new Dark Lord of the Sith (dark side).[17]
Development[edit]
Chris Avellone (pictured) was the lead designer of Knights of the Old Republic II.
Knights of the Old Republic II was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by LucasArts.[20] It is the sequel to BioWare's Knights of the Old Republic,[20] and it uses the same Odyssey Engine as the original game.[21] BioWare suggested that Obsidian should be offered the Knights of the Old Republic license due to their familiarity with Obsidian's past work and the good relationship between the two developers, as well as due to finding LucasArts' development schedule for the sequel to be too tight.[22][23] The game was released in PC and Xbox versions, but due to the Xbox version being released two months prior to the PC version, it has multiple unfixed bugs.[24]
Development of the game began in October 2003.[25] The overview of the game's story was originally drafted before the first Knights of the Old Republic was released, after which it saw many revisions and also some major redrafts.[26] In preparation to write Knights of the Old Republic II, lead designer Chris Avellone tried to learn as much about the Star Wars universe as possible. He read many books, guides, modules, and graphic novels, and the Obsidian team also relied on the first Knights of the Old Republic and the original Star Wars films for inspiration.[2] Avellone said that Obsidian recognized one of the things that made Knights of the Old Republic great was the story and the companions, and that they tried to expand upon this by adding more depth to them.[25]
Knights of the Old Republic II uses the same d20 System as the first Knights of the Old Republic with some changes, and the level cap has also been removed.[2] For the most part, the team didn't want to redo any of the design elements from the first game, as they felt that there was no need to change anything that had already proved successful; instead, they opted to look for areas that could be improved and expanded upon them in a way that retained the base style of Knights of the Old Republic.[27] Obsidian put much work into the game's graphics, including the appearances of non-player characters.[2] Other technological improvements include the lighting and weather effects, in addition to increasing the level sizes.[2][28]Knights of the Old Republic II's lead artist was Aaron Meyers; he decided which people would join the art team after looking through 'tons of applications, resumes, and demo reels', and he said that he was pleased with the number of people who wanted to work for Obsidian.[29] Meyers also complained about the short deadline the development team had to deal with.[29] Obsidian's COO, Chris Parker, said that the schedule set for the development team was 'extremely aggressive', and that the team felt a lot of pressure because they were 'making a sequel to the game of the year for 2003'.[25]
For the music, the development team felt that symphony orchestra would work best for Knights of the Old Republic II.[30] The musical score was composed by Mark Griskey, who developed music and themes for characters and places, including the Jedi's theme, Darth Sion's theme and Darth Nihilus's theme (which both have many similarities with the Emperor's theme from The Return of the Jedi). He also created a theme for the main character, which is heard occasionally when he or she experiences internal conflict. The ~55-minute score was recorded by the Sinfonia Orchestra in Seattle.[31] The opening crawl utilizes the version of John Williams' main Star Wars theme that was re-recorded for the prequel trilogy.
When Obsidian was preparing to present Knights of the Old Republic II at E3 2004, they tried to fit as much information as they could, saying that it would need to be a duration of 30 minutes as it was the only E3 event it would be showcased at; however, due to the limited time frame, they would have to cut it down to a five- to ten-minute presentation.[26] During this time, none of the levels Obsidian designed were ready to be shown, so they picked three levels and put them through a schedule to finish them on time.[26] The demo was finished a few days before the event,[26] and the game was presented in May 2004.[32] The first trailer for Knights of the Old Republic II was later unveiled in July 2004,[33] and the official website was launched in October.[34]
When looking back at Knights of the Old Republic II in a 2013 interview, Avellone said that because of LucasArts forcing Obsidian to finish the game in a short time frame of 14 to 16 months, the game ended up being in an 'unfinished' state.[22] However, Avellone said that Obsidian was at fault for this due to not cutting out enough things; he noted that all minigames should have been removed, and also said that there were too many in-engine cutscenes.[22] Obsidian's co-founder, Feargus Urquhart, said that the game was originally going to be released in 2005, but it was later moved up to December 2004 after E3; according to him, Obsidian had to choose between 'get[ting] in trouble or get[ting] it done'.[35] Due to this, several cuts had to be made; one of the most major was the droid planet M4-78, which was entirely removed from the game after the 2004 E3 event when the team realized that they wouldn't be able to fit it into the schedule.[36] M4-78's designer, Kevin Saunders, explained that he moved assets from that planet to Nar Shaddaa's yacht level in order to complete it on time, which was prior also likely to be cut from the game.[37]
The Xbox version of Knights of the Old Republic II went gold on November 23, 2004;[38] it was later released on December 6, 2004 in the United States,[38][39][40] and the PC version was released on February 8, 2005.[41] In Europe, the game was released simultaneously for both platforms on February 11.[40] The game was later re-released in August 2012 on the digital distribution platform, Steam,[42] and in January 2015 on GOG.com.[43] On July 21, 2015, OS X and Linux versions were released along with new support for Steam Workshop and other Steamworks features, controller input, and modern widescreen resolutions up to 5K.[44]Backward compatibility for the Xbox One was announced in April 2018.[45]
Along with several official patches, a fan-releasedunofficial patch by a modding community fixed around 500 remaining bugs,[46] along with restoring most of the content that was cut from the game.[47] There were also methods found by the community for improving compatibility on modern PC operating systems.[48]
Reception[edit]
Commercial performance[edit]
According to The NPD Group, Knights of the Old Republic II sold 458,000 copies in North America during the month of December 2004. It entered their chart for the month at number 11, and at number 3 on the Xbox-only chart.[49][50] After its North American release on Windows, it debuted at number 2 on the PC chart for the month of February.[51] In the United Kingdom, the game debuted at the top of the weekly chart, beating Blizzard Entertainment's much-anticipated online game World of Warcraft, which was released in the same week. Eurogamer reported that in the UK Knights of the Old Republic II sold much more in its first week than the first game, which the website speculates was helped by the former's simultaneous release on Windows and Xbox in PAL regions, as opposed to the latter's initial Xbox-only release.[52] During 2005 alone, the Xbox version sold more than 60,000 copies in the region.[53]
By early 2006, Knights of the Old Republic II had sold almost 1.5 million copies.[54] Its sales in the United States alone reached 1.275 million by 2008.[55]

Knights of the Old Republic II was met with positive reception upon its release; on Metacritic, it has an aggregate score of 85/100 and 86/100 on the PC and Xbox versions respectively, indicating 'generally favorable reviews' according to the site.[65][66]IGN said that there is a bulk of pressure involved with developing the sequel to a game from a different developer which won several 'Game of the Year' awards, and that Obsidian delivered.[62] The review also said that it won't disappoint fans of the original game and that it is mostly similar to it in terms of the model.[14][62]GamePro praised both the first and second Knights of the Old Republic and said that the second game continues the series' tradition of not fixing what is not broken.[58]GameSpot echoed this statement, also saying that both the good things and the shortcomings from the first game are present in Knights of the Old Republic II.[1]
GameSpy compared the game to The Empire Strikes Back from the original Star Wars film trilogy in that it is the best of the series in terms of story, and also said that the game has the best story in a video game since Planescape: Torment.[60]1UP.com wrote that Obsidian surpassed the original Knights of the Old Republic in terms of the writing, saying that the plot is more consistent, the dialogue is edgier and the moral choices are more significant;[10]Computer Gaming World agreed, writing, 'your decision making, as you pursue a light or dark path, is more ambiguous, with more unexpected consequences'.[56]Eurogamer said that compared to the original game, Knights of the Old Republic II's plot is 'far more grey'.[57] The review also said that planets are 'better developed and paced'.[57] GameZone wrote that the game is a 'Must Buy' for people who like well-written characters and story.[61]
The combat was generally well-received, with some reviewers noting that it is mostly unchanged from the original Knights of the Old Republic.[6][7][8] GameSpot compared the combat from the first Knights of the Old Republic to the second, saying that it isn't well-balanced in both; however, the reviewer wrote that it helps the combat remain spontaneous.[59] GameZone said that the combat is not changed from the first Knights of the Old Republic to the second, but that this is a good thing since the combat in the original was enjoyable.[61] IGN praised the game's AI, saying that it is easy to control the main character alone without controlling the party members.[14] GameSpy's reviewer, on the other hand, said that he encountered problems with the combat AI that were not present in the original Knights of the Old Republic.[60]
GameSpot criticized Knights of the Old Republic II's graphics, calling them 'lackluster'.[1][59] GameSpy's reviewer felt that the game's graphics were disappointing, calling them 'a little dated' and 'half-baked'.[60] The reviewer further criticized the graphics for looking the same as they were in the first game of the series, saying that they could only be considered 'good' during the release of that game.[60] GameZone said that the game looks exactly the same as the original Knights of the Old Republic[61] and that it doesn't compare to the majority of mainstream games released at the time.[7] GameSpy called the music in the game 'excellent'; however, the reviewer noted that some of it is re-used from the first game of the series.[60] The GameSpy reviewer also said that while the majority of the voice-acting is good, there are 'a few more examples of bad voice-acting' than in the first Knights of the Old Republic.[60] GameZone said that the 'top-notch' voice acting complements the game's very well-written dialogue, and also praised the game's sound effects.[61]
The game was criticized for its glitches; several players reported having problems with pathfinding bugs.[14] 1UP.com's reviewer condemned Knights of the Old Republic II for having the same bugs and technical issues as in the first game, saying that his party 'still had a tendency to warp and skip around the map at times', and he also criticized the pathfinding in the game.[10] GameSpy said that the game's bugs are 'hard to forgive', and that these issues didn't occur in the first Knights of the Old Republic.[60] In a different article, GameSpy said that the game is incomplete, and attributed this to its rushed deadline.[67]
GameSpy called Kreia the best video game character of 2005, saying that she was 'easily the most intriguing, complicated, enigmatic, well-designed and nuanced character in a video game this year'.[68] In 2010, the game was included as one of the titles in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die.[69]

Alternate dialogueSuccessfully complete the game two times, once with a Light side ending and again with a Dark side ending. Start the game a third time to have new dialogue choices appear during the game.
Alternate menuSuccessfully complete the game and your character will appear on the main menu.
Infinite Light side points on Korriban in Shyrack caveWhen in the hidden tombs inside the Shyrack cave on Korriban, you will enter a dialogue with Kreia. It does not matter what you choose until your friends materialize. At first, side with them and say that Kreia is a Dark influence. Then, when she protests, side with Kreia to defend her. You will receive Light side points, and Kreia will remain there until you choose differently.
Infinite Dark side pointsAfter the Ithorians call you asking for your help, go to them and see the Ithorian in the plant room. He will ask you to help save their leader, Chodo. Ask him for a reward, then leave them on their own. Do this repeatedly to get more Dark side points.
Infinite Dark pointsIf you go to the Dark side, eventually you will get a Wookie in your party named Hanhar. After you have answered all the 'Influence' needed questions and learned that he killed his people and everything else, ask him why he follows you. He will reply that it is the way of a predator and prey and the strong and the weak. Either ask if that means he serves you or that one day he will kill you like he did Mira. He will say something about the life debts. Ask him about them, then say something along the lines of that it is foolish to hold on to them or ask why he still cares about them. He will say he cannot abandon all the ways of his people, but do not stop pressuring him. Eventually you will say that he is weak or that he will always be his own prey. You will get a success in influence success and grant him a +2 Strength -2 Intelligence bonus. If you do this enough times, it will subtract too much and boost his intelligence over 100 to 200 points. This lets you max out his skills. When you do this, you will get Dark points along with 1000 experience and +2 Strength.
Infinite experience on Nar ShaddaaUpon entering the refugee camp, speak with Odis. He claims to be sick but cannot do anything about it. He says that the caretaker might help. You must then eliminate all the Sirocco gang members to the east. This can be done by starting a fight with their leader. After they have been eliminated, make your way to the 'squid'-looking Exchange leader to the west. You will be given a choice to tell him about Odis being sick. Persuade the 'squid' to make more for the refugees. If you succeed, he will ask you to eliminate him. Respond that you will think about it and the conversation will end. You will receive 1,000 experience points every time you persuade him to make more room. This works because the choice to persuade him always occurs when you speak with the Exchange leader.
Infinite componentsUsing the 'Handmaiden's Robe' trick, breakdown the robes on the workbench to get 200 components. These can go a long way, for melee shields, energy shields, etc. Repeat this as often as desired. It is better to breakdown her robes than valuable merchandise.
Light and Dark side mastery bonusesWhen getting bonuses for having Light or Dark Mastery, the bonus you receive depends on your class and your alignment:
- Light Side Jedi Guardian: +3 Strength
- Dark Side Jedi Guardian: +1 to 8 additional damage
- Light Side Jedi Sentinel: +3 Constitution
- Dark Side Jedi Sentinel: +3 Dexterity
- Light Side Jedi Consular: +3 Wisdom
- Dark Side Jedi Consular: +50 additional Force Points
- Jedi Weaponmaster: +3 Strength
- Jedi Watchman: +3 Constitution
- Jedi Master: +3 Wisdom
- Sith Marauder: +1 to 8 additional damage
- Sith Assassin: +3 Dexterity
- Sith Lord: +50 additional Force Points
Your status screen will only show one bonus at a time, at the top. However, bonuses from your starting class are still present and active. Two bonuses of the same type will stack. For example, a Light Side Jedi Guardian / Jedi Weaponmaster has +6 Strength (+3 Strength for each class), and a Dark Side Jedi Consular / Sith Lord has +100 Force Points (+50 Force Points for each class). The best way to be a strong Force User is to be a Light Side Jedi Consular / Jedi Master. You will get Master Force Focus to add +4 DC to your Force Power Saving throws, and +6 Wisdom for Light Mastery, which increases your Force Points, Force Damage, Force Power DC and, for male characters with Battle Precognition (learned from Handmaiden), a +3 bonus to defense for Light Mastery.
Handmaiden's RobeAfter you duel with Handmaiden, she is not wearing anything. Put some clothes on yourself then ask her to put some clothes on. The robes she puts on are valuable. You can repeat this process as many times as you desired and sell the extra robes. Note: Only Handmaiden can wear these robes. Additionally, after sparring with the Handmaiden, tell her to put some clothes on. Make sure that you also have clothes on. She will put on her mother's Jedi robe, which only she can wear. It gives a +3 bonus to Defense and a +2 bonus to Charisma.
Heal and attack at the same timeOnce you obtain the heal power, it is possible to heal and attack at the same time. First you must heal, then while your character is in the middle of the heal technique, choose an attack (Flurry works the best). On the next turn your character should heal, however damage numbers will appear over your opponent's head. This is useful when defeating tough bosses such as Sion and Kreia.
ShieldsWhen you first get Bao-Dur after you leave Citadel Station, he can make lots of shields (an infinite amount for a limited duration). Keep asking him for shields. You will get Energy, Mandalorian Melee, and Echani types one once in awhile. This is useful for gaining credits. However, after Bao-Dur asks you about making a lightsaber and tells you to collect the parts, you can no longer ask him to produce shields.
DuelingTo become proficient with a lightsaber, you must work on the Dueling feat tree. The first level gives you a +1 bonus to defense and attack whenever you are using a blaster pistol, vibrosword, vibroblade, lightsaber, or any other one handed weapon. Note: This does not work when you are using two weapons. The height of the tree adds a +3 to defense and attack. Add this to the Jedi Defense tree, and if you are wielding a lightsaber or any other one handed weapon, you will usually have a defense of at least thirty when you have Master Dueling and Master Jedi Defense, and an awesome bonus to your attack.
WisdomWhen you level up, it is always a good idea to increase your character's Wisdom. This helps your Force attacks and Force bar. When you have a high Wisdom, your enemy will have a tough time resisting your Force attacks, and it makes the damage of your Force attacks higher and more effective. Attacks such as Stasis, or Stasis Field will be useful in a lot of areas in the game, especially towards the end and in in the very last battle. Normally if your enemy has a good resistance to the Force, some attacks like Choke, Crush, or Stasis will not do anything. However, with a high Wisdom you can do a lot of damage to them.
Prestige classYou can gain a prestige class when you are at least level 15 and have a very strong alignment to either the Light or Dark side of the Force.
Saving level progressionIf you know that a difficult character or Boss is coming up and you are ready to level up, do not. Instead, level up while fighting if your health gets very low. This will restore all Vitality points and Force points, and will also give you an extra edge.
Character progressionTo get your party's characters to progress quickly, simply return to the Ebon Hawk after you complete any mission (including bonus missions and side quests). This will trigger sequences where your party members will enact with one another. This does not happen every time you enter the Ebon Hawk, but does happen very frequently. Additionally, you do not have to gain influence to make someone a Jedi. If you are on the Dark side, if you get a large enough influence loss you can turn your party members to the Dark side. They will become Dark Jedi like your Dark character with a large enough influence loss.
Jedi party membersIf you have a female main character, the Disciple inside the Jedi Enclave sub-levels will join your party and eventually become a Jedi. He is the replacement for Brianna, The Handmaiden.
Hanharr as a party memberIf you are playing a True Dark side character, the Wookie will join your party. You will get to kill Mira with him. If you talk to him enough, you will gain attribute bonuses.
Gaining influence with KreiaAfter Visas has joined your party, anytime that you lose influence with Kreia, talk to her about Visas' home world and just choose the top conversation option. Then, end the conversation after you can no longer talk about Visas' home world. If done correctly, you will have gained influence with Kreia. Do this repeatedly until it stops or anytime you lose Kreia's influence. Additionally, get to the conversation with Kriea on board the Ebon Hawk when she tells you to raise you weakest skill before she instructs you further in the Force. When she asks what skill you feel is your weakest, simply choose one that an item you possess increases. Simply speak to her while it is not equipped, equip it, then speak to her again. You receive influence, bonus experience points and Force points. Also, you do not need to be at level 15 to do this.
Bao-Dur becomes a JediYou cannot really get into conversations with Bao-Dur, so there is no influence: failure or influence: sucess in talking with him. He must be in your party to gain influence. When you talk to him, you may be able to get shields from him (if you do not have too many of the kind he makes already), or you can construct your lightsaber if you have not already done so. After this, the only option will be 'Never mind'. Occasionally he may say 'You know, I'm really glad I found you again , General'. This conversation means nothing. You cannot get any influence gains from it, and all the choice options are not very good. Try to make it out without any influence losses or Dark side points. You will have to ask him why he is still here, and he will ask you if you are tired of him already. Then something about wires in the universe will turn up. Just reply with 'If you see any, let me know'. This conversation occurs more than once. If you have enough influence with him, when you talk to him, you should automatically get into a new conversation. It will mention something about Malachor V. Try to convince him that he was not just fighting for revenge, and that he was fighting to protect others, even if he disagrees with you. Eventually you should reach some random option saying that you can teach him to use the Force. He will say something else. Tell him there is no time to waste. You do not have to go through that series of one option conversation. It just simply states he is now a Jedi Guardian. Bao-Dur cannot equip any robes or Jal Shey Armor. If you want him to use powers that are restricted by armor, you must equip him with regular clothing or nothing at all. As mentioned earlier, in order for Bao-Dur to gain influence he needs to be in your party for practically the entire time. Also, a lot of the times for Bao-Dur to gain influence, only you and him must be in your party. For Bao-Dur and all the others you can train to be Jedi, taking the Light side is recommended. The following are some possible influence gains with Bao-Dur.
On Dxun, take only Bao-dur with you when you search for the dead Mandalorian's body. The Mandalorian is actually alive. He tells you that he is trapped on a ridge because he was ambushed by Bomas. Agree to help him by killing the Bomas. Once done, talk to him and agree to keep his secret. You will then get into a conversation with Bao-Dur. Tell him something along the lines of if you can help, you will, then end with saying that perhaps one day he will return the favor. Bao-Dur will say you never know, and you should get an influence gain with him.
On Telos, after you talk with Atris, go back to pick up your allies. However, before you do so, talk with one of the Handmaiden sisters, (not Handmaiden herself). Talk to her about Atton for a future influence gain with him. When you talk to Bao-Dur, be nice and tell him the crash and his collapse was not his fault, and perhaps you should let him stay in your party instead of waiting at the ship. You should get an influence gain with him.
On Nar Shadaa, take only Bao-Dur with you to the refugee sector. Have a minimum Treat Injury of 5. Talk to Geriel, be nice, and heal him. He will thank you, and say that he feels better. The conversation will end. Almost immediately after you start walking, Bao-Dur will stop you and say that was nice. Select the Light side options and you should get an influence gain with him.
At the Nar Shadaa Docks, explore the flop house to find a man name Lootra. Hear him out and agree to help him find his wife, Aaida. There are two guards that stop you in the refugee sector. Talk to the Gamorean, then tell him that if you are trying to threaten you, draw your weapons. If your intimidation works, you can only fight them earning Dark side points. Instead of talking to him with your main character, talk to him with someone else in your party. Even though it returns to your main character talking, the intimidation will fail and you can fight them without earning any Dark side points. Kill both of them, then go back and talk to Aaida. Tell her that Lootra is here looking for her. Then, say that you have taken out the guards and that she has a clear path out of the sector. This is when you need Bao-Dur in your party, and Kreia as well. Go back to flophouse and talk to the reunited couple. Kreia will get in an argument with you. Choose the answers that are correct and have to do with the Light side. She will get upset with you. Tell her that if it meant any of your allies' lives, you would do anything for them. This not the choice where you say that about Kreia, but the one after that. Bao-Dur will make a comment saying you remind him that back in the Mandalorian Wars, there was only one Jedi he saw valor in, which was you. End the conversation and you should get an influence gain with Bao-Dur without losing influence with Kreia.
On Nar Shadaa there is an airspeeder at the Serreco territory in the refugee sector. You may need to take the Serreco out before using it though. The airspeeder is missing parts and you do not have access to its systems. First, to gain access to its systems, use your Security skill after examining it. If you have Atton in your party, he will ask you to let him take care of it. You may both need a high Security skill for this to occur. Accept his help bvy saying 'All right, I'll let the expert handle this'. Afterwards, thank him for his help and you should get an influence gain with Atton. Next, go to the refugee landing pad and search all the metal boxes and containers. The Navigation system may be in the Plasteel cylinder where you get your ID changed to have Vogga's transponder codes. Next, go to Nar Shadaa docks and go to Pylon 3 (the one at the very end). To the left, there is a Plasteel cylinder that has the maneuvering flaps. Now, go to the flophouse and you will find an Ithorian in one of the places. Hear him out and agree to help him. He tells you that he sells power cells. There is no harm in asking him for one. He says that he will give you one after you help him. Talk to Fassa at the pylons and ask him about the Ithorian. Pay his debt and go back to the Ithorian. Tell him he can go as long as he gives Fassa some of the power cells. He will say that it is no problem and thank you. After the conversation ends, you will receive the power cell. Go back to the airspeeder and install the three parts. After you are finished, you can ask either T3-M4 or Bao-Dur to examine it. Let Bao-Dur examine it first. He will notice some things are wrong and offers his help. Accept it, then afterwards, thank him. The conversation will end and you should get an influence gain with Bao-Dur. If you can, now ask T3-M4 to examine it and say the same things. You should get an influence gain with T3-M4.
Handmaiden becomes a JediBe on the Light side as much as possible as a male jedi with a very high influence over Handmaiden. Ask her to teach you fighting moves and you will duel her. Defeat her three times (you should be at a high level because she is a difficult opponent) Also, you fight without clothes; follow the rules that she says. Put on clothes then tell her to but some on. She will put on Jedi robes. Talk to her about them (be nice), then talk to Kreia about the Handmaiden's mother. You will learn that she was a Jedi, and that Handmaiden got the robes from her. Talk to Handmaiden again, but about her mother this time. Be nice and tell her you know her mother was a Jedi. Then, say the Force could run strongly in her. If you have high enough influence (you may need to try a few times), she will ask you to train her. However, you may need to convince her to betray her oath to Atris. If done correctly, you will see a short intermission sequence of Atris saying that Handmaiden betrayed her.
Mira becomes a JediAfter you are finished on Nar Shaddaa, talk to Mira while onboard the Ebon Hawk. Keep talking to her to gain influence then ask her why she seems restless. Be nice while talking to her and you will hear her describe Nar Shaddaa, and you will give her the description that Kreia gave you. After you succeed, leave the ship with Mira and talk to her about the same thing. Take her to where Kreia showed you the Force (just in front of the cantina entrance by the railing), and you will stop to show her the Force.
Sacrifice VisasEquip Visas with the clothing that was on her when she joined your party while facing her master. You get the choice to sacrifice her.
Skip to rebuilt enclaveOn Enclave Courtyard, at the entrance to the rebuilt academy where the final confrontation of the remaining Jedi Masters is located, you can get inside before you complete any planets. Stand beside the door and add someone new to your party. If done correctly, they will spawn on the other side of the door.
Operating HK-47Use the following steps to make HK-47 functional again. On Peragus, get the Voice Vocabulator from the wrecked HK-50 droid. On Nar Shaddaa, after you defeat three HK-50 droids with T3-M4, pick up the remains. On Dantooine, get parts from the salvager by the Jedi Enclave. Also, try to pick up all the remains that the HK-50 droids leave.
T3-M4 with a rifleFind a Droid Warfare upgrade and install it. Then, choose any rifle from your arsenal and give it to T3-M4 in any slot of his weapon area. He will now use a rifle with great power and accuracy, due to bonus feats like Specialization: Rifle, and Dexterity.
Train Aton, Handmaiden, or Bao-Dur to be JediGo to the various parts of the game and keep speaking to each of those characters. Continue to gain influence with all of them, and eventually you will have the option to train them to be Jedi.
Barab Ore IngotTo get the Barab Ore Ingot easily you must be on the Light Side. If you choose Jedi Consular, Jedi Sentinel, or Jedi Guardian as a class and choose to be come a Jedi Master, Jedi Weapon Master, or a Jedi Watchman you can still get Barab Ore Ingot. However, do not use two lightsabers. You must use one lightsaber with a color being the same as your class. Also when you have completed four or five planets, it would be possible that you would get the Barab Ore Ingot between completing three to five planets.
Lightsaber constructionTo make a lightsaber, you need five things: a crystal, an energy fixture, an energy cell, a lens, and Bao-Dur. On Telos, the Ithorians will send you to the planet's surface. When you are shot down, talk to Bao-Dur. He will join your party. The energy fixture and cell can be bought at the salvager camp by the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine. After you save Khoonda on Dantooine, Master Vrook will teach you a lightsaber form and give the lens to you. Crystals can be found in the crystal caves, bought, or found. After you have these, talk to Bao-Dur to have him make you a lightsaber. If you can find the glowing crystal, search it to get your crystal. If you put in your lightsaber it will be more powerful.
Bao-Dur is an ugly character that follows you around and calls you 'General'. He is also very skilled at constructing weapons, fixing general robotics, and ship repairs. He will tell you that if you get the parts needed, he will make a lightsaber for you. The following items can be found on these planets. On Dantooine, a salvager near the Jedi Enclave will have all but one part (lens) you will need, at a nifty price. She also has some color crystals. On Dxun, after you kill some Cannoks in the jungles, check their remains. One has the lens needed for the lightsaber. They are found near the Mandalorian ruins entrance, or by the Mandalorian cache. Also, you cannot get your old lightsaber from Arista. You must to collect components and bring them to Bao-Dur, or you can complete a major quest. A lightsaber hilt shell can be obtained at Citadel Station, from the Ithorian Leader. Jarron will sell you a refracting lens it if you save him. You can buy colored crystals. A Silver Crystal is located at the Rodian Merchant on Nar Shadaa, but you must pick her over the other merchant. Additionally, you can get a lightsaber part from Visa when you find her on the ship. You have to fight her, then see Bao-Dur.
Master Vrook will give you a lens (the only part which cannot be bought on Dantooine). If you have bought all the parts from the salvager camp and helped Master Vrook, Bao Dun should be able to construct a lightsaber for you.
When you escape Peragus 2 in the beginning, Atton will eventually ask you what lightsaber you had or want now. There is a choice between a single-bladed and a double-bladed lightsaber. The colors are blue, red, green, viridian, and violet, plus silver. Pick one to get it later in the game from Atris.
Lightsaber rewardsIf you assist the refugees by getting the Exchange to ease up, Hussef will give you a lightsaber. Also, Master Vrook on Dantooine will give you his lightsaber for saving Khoonda.
You can get a short lightsaber from Lootra when you free his wife in the Refugee sector by clearing a path through the exchange guards and killing all the Serecco thugs.
Mandalore will give you a lightsaber if you have completed every task in the Mandalorian Ruins to gain respect.
Best lightsaber crystalThe Crystal Caves on Dantooine hold your very own Force Crystal. It has your name and you can keep getting Kreia to 'tune' it to yourself throughout the game. It will also improve over time.
Always use the personal crystal in your own lightsaber. It is the best crystal in the game, giving you attribute bonuses and a +1 to attack and damage. Also, it is aligned to you, so that you can use a crystal of the opposite alignment and the alignment restrictions cancel each other out.
Using lightsaber crystals restricted to the other alignmentIf you have a powerful crystal that is restricted to the Dark side while you are on the Light side (or vice versa), put a crystal that is restricted to the opposite alignment in the other slot. They will cancel each other out.
Silver lightsaber crystal on Nar ShaddaaYou can buy a silver lightsaber crystal from Geeda on Nar Shaddaa. Note: You may have to make the other merchant leave Nar Shaddaa to do this.
Lightsaber colorIf you choose not to speak to Atton Rand about your lightsaber after Peragus, the plot of the game chooses your old color for you.
Recommended lightsaber formUse the Juan Lightsaber Form to do many punches and kicks while being vulnerable to Force powers.
Battle PrecognitionTalk to the Handmaiden and ask her to teach you some fighting moves. Do this when you are on the Ebon Hawk. After defeating her, tell her that she seems to be predicting your moves. She will tell you about how the Echani generals could predict the outcomes of battles. Then, ask her how you would be able to do that. After that, you will gain the Light side power Battle Precognition, which allows you to add your Wisdom modifier to your Defense when you are not wearing armor. Note: You must be a male character in order to do this. Female characters will meet the Disciple instead of the Handmaiden.
Force PersuasionIf your Force Persuasion is fully aligned with the Light side, you will get a +3 to your Wisdom bonus, depending on your class type. If it is fully aligned with the Dark side, you will get a +3 to your Strength bonus. Additionally, the bonuses regarding your Force alignment is dependent on your class type. For example, use a Sentinel and the bonus is a Constitution +3. Also, use a Jedi Consular to get Darkside Mastery +50FP.
Force ScreamA very good Force power that has seems to work well on a large scale of enemies is Force Scream and all its other stages. It is especially useful when you are at level 10 to 14, because your enemies are usually weak around that stage of the game, and this power is strong. On Telos, when you fight the mercenaries that protect the Czerka satellite, three or four Force screams (or its other stages) will most likely kill one group at a time.
Force SightTalk to Visas about everything except for how she and her people can see through the Force. After you have built up enough influence, save the game and ask her about the way her people see with the Force. If you have gained enough influence, you will gain the Force Sight power. If not, reload your last saved game and keep trying to gain more influence before trying again.
Grey alignmentDo not be a 'Grey' Jedi. Leaving your connection to the Force in the neutral area is not cost effective for gaining Force powers. The higher you are to the Light, the better the chance of getting two points to use instead of one. This also works with the Dark side. Jedi Masters also learn powers faster than the Watchmen or Bladesmaster.
Influence chancesMake sure to have just these characters with you when you want influence with them. Also, make sure that you get the correct influence you want. Either have all influence gain or all influence loss; not both.
Atton: Reply that Atton had a good idea or something to that degree when you are on the Harbinger to get an influence gain. Kill random people with just Atton in your party (for example, Lootra on Nar Shadaa, the person who stops you on Telos when you break into his apartment). Note: You will get a lot of Dark side points for this.
Bao Dur: Help the spy at the cantina on Onderon.
Bao Dur: Help the Mandalorian Kumas in the Missing Mandalorian quest.
Bao Dur: Help the person on Nar Shadaa being hounded for money by the two thugs next to the red door.
GO-TO: Works the same as HK, however say that you like his skills for a gain or do not like them for a loss.
Handmaiden: Duel her three times to get all the influence needed. After you duel her for the first time, return each time you level up to see if you can duel her again.
HK-47: Light side remarks give you loss, while Dark gives you gain. Also use the Mind Trick on the guard at Onderan spaceport with HK in your party to get a gain.
Kreia: When Kreia scolds you for certain things, say that you agree with her reasoning and you will get an influence gain. You usually get influence gains with Dark side remarks to Kreia and influence loss with Light side remarks.
Mandalore: Kill Akkerre on Dantooine for an influence gain.
If you divide this in half (4,772) then it will only take half as much exp for each level and you will level at 2x the normal rate. 7 days to die wiki. Exptolevel is 9545 by default.
Mira: Help or kill the Sullustan Akkere on Dantooine.
T3-M4: Same as Visas. Light side for gain, Dark side for loss.
Visas: Light side remarks to Visas usually get you influence gains while Dark side remarks give you a loss.
If you get stuck trying to defeat a large group of enemies or one very difficult enemy, look around your environment for something to hide behind. The enemies are only aggressive if they can see you, and it is very easy to exploit this 'line of sight' issue. You can lure one enemy at a time around a corner until the pack is destroyed, and even better, if you inch around a bend correctly, you can have an enemy targeted without them becoming aggressive. This makes it easy to defeat them with a ranged attack, such as a blaster, lightsaber throw, or grenades. This even makes Kreia's defeat possible without having to concern yourself with the three floating lightsabers. Just run from the sabers until you are around a pillar. With Kreia in sight, she will not attack you with the floating lightsabers around, and she can be easily finished off with some lightsaber throws.
Defeating BossesIf you are having problems defeating a Boss, simply enter the 'Gameplay' settings and lower the difficulty to 'Easy' for the duration of the battle. Additionally, get a large number of mines. This works best if only one character is alive. Exit combat-mode and make the enemy follow you. Get a good distance away and set a mine (frag or plasma), then run away. The enemy should run through the mine. Keep repeating this until the enemy is dead.
If you are in a tough fight, as when Atton fights the Twin Suns or the last fight with Kriea, it helps a lot to run away a short distance and plant a mine. Do this as many times as needed; you can always make more mines at a lab station.
Defeating MandaloriansUse the following trick when battling the Mandalorians at their camp in their battle circle: The rules are that no Force powers, stimulants, or other items can be used inside the circle. However, if you boost your character with stimulants before you talk to the sergeant you will still have their benefits when you enter the circle. This will make winning easier.
Defeating Master VrookIf you go to the Dark side, you will have to face Master Vrook in a one-on-one duel. Master Vrook is a difficult opponent. Have the Force Focus power active (the little purple sphere). Keep hitting him with Force Lightning. Once you get him low enough, Kreia will interrupt and give you a new Force form. It looks like another purple sphere, but absorbs the Force from the opponent. When you continue, Vrook will try to heal himself (you should also do this). Make sure the new ability is active and use Plague on him. With it is 100% chance of hitting, it is really the only thing that works. However, every time you get him with that, he will try to heal the poison. Keep alternating Plague and Force Lightning. He will run out of Force and start attacking again. Keep nailing him with Force Lightning, and when he has only a quarter of his strength remaining, he will collapse and will have won. Additionally, when the battle first begins, instead of attacking head-on, run around the trees until he no longer follows. Then, go to where the battle began and lay down all of your mines in one spot, directly on top of each other, Make Vrook follow you through the mines. The mines will explode on him, but not you.
Defeating SionTry using Flurry. It does a great amount of damage to him. Also try other attacks as well. Force Body will help you greatly. Make sure your Force bar is up before attempting this. When you do the next four to six Force attacks, it will do almost nothing to your Force bar. Force Heal is a great move to use at this time, along with Force Immunity or Force Storm. Make sure you have lots of some type of healing, such as the Survival Pack, Advance Medpack, or Medpack. You must kill Sion three or four times before he actually dies. Additionally, run away from Sion and hide behind a pillar to make the target on Sion disappear. When this happens, Sion will not run after you. Instead of fighting him head on, walk away from the pillar, where he will not see you, and place as many mines as possible (preferably not gas mines). Then, let Sion see you and lead him to the mines. If it does not kill him, keep using Force Storm. He will regain all his health a few times. Repeat this process until Sion is dead.
To kill Sion on Malachor as a Dark Jedi, constantly use the Choke Force power that you are given when you get Dark Side Mastery. He cannot resist this, and it is immensely powerful. It is boring, but it gets the job done.
Jedi Master Robe on DantooineSave Koohda but kill the Jedi Master. He will have a Jedi Master Robe on his corpse.
Computer code on DxunWhen called back to Dxun by the Mandalore, you are given two missions. The main character Jedi goes to the capitol, but first with a cast member of your choice you will do a mission in the Dxun jungle. In the structure, there are two ancient computers in different locations that open big locked boxes with crystals in them. The first computer code is this string of numbers: (6*2)-8+9/1=13. On the second computer, the answer is: C.
Easy experience on KorribanPlay as a Light side Jedi. Your Force bar replenishes very slowly when cofmpared when playing on the Dark side. Equip the Sith mask, a Jedi Knight robe and the crystal in your lightsaber that helps regenerate Force points. Even with all three items, your Force will return slowly. Before you enter the hidden cave, make sure that you have the Drain Force power maxed out. Use Force Affinity, Force Storm, Force Storm, Drain Life (third tier) and in the next battle, Force Affinity, Drain Force, Force Storm, Force Storm then Drain Life. When you do use Drain Force in this manner, you will get Force points back (more if you are fighting about ten to twelve Hssiss).
When inspecting the dead Jedi body, to gain more experience faster and easier, make sure you have the Master Force Scream. It does massive damage all around you. This is useful if you plan to fight multiple Hssiss, as it has an area affect of virtually the entire room. You can inspect the body ten or more times and use the Force Scream for all the Hssiss around you. It usually takes about five or six uses, depending on how many there are. Also, if you have Death Field and Force Lightning Storm, it helps. If you are low on health, using the Death Field one time replenishes all your health. Also, having a high Wisdom and Regenerate Force Points are helpful.
Silver crystal on KorribanWhen you get to Korriban, you will be told by Kreia not to take items from the old corpses. If you want a silver crystal, search for it in the corpses. However, be prepared to fight. There are enemies that will attack after you open the first corpse.
Infinite life on Korriban in Lost TombWhen your fighting the Hssisses to gain experience, make sure that you have equipment on that will allow regeneration of you vitality points (masks, implants, robes, underlays for the robes, etc.). Once you have all of these equipped, you will be able to fight the Hssisses without dying, even if your life points reach 0. Note: This trick only works here and nowhere else in the game.
Darth Sion on your side on Malachor VWhen on Malachor V, you will fight Darth Sion. Before this, get the power Force Confusion to the highest level. Use it on him as soon as the battle pauses and says enemy sighted. Use it, and he should be on your side. This will wear off, but is a very funny trick.
Defeating Kreia on Malachor VOnce you have started the battle with Kreia, run down the platform behind you. Run away from her until she stops chasing you. Once she stops lay as many mines as you have (thirty or forty recommended) in the same location. Run to where she starts chasing you again and lure her over the mines. If done correctly, her health should be almost gone. She will probably try to use Death Field on you. Use Flurry on her and she will die. Once the lightsabers appear, do the same thing but do not lay mines. Lure the sabers away from each other and attack them separately. Additionally, when you are on the Dark side, you can get a power called Force Crush. When you are fighting her, keep using that Force power. It does about 75 damage each time you use it. She might use Death Field on you sometimes, but it will not kill you. You can also use it on the floating lightsabers.
Make Atton a Jedi on Nar ShaddaaOn Nar Shaddaa, there is an intermission sequence in the refugee sector (near the center) where a blue Twi'lek offers you information about Atton for a small price (about 20 to 25 credits). Pay him, and he will say that he has seen Atton on Nar Shaddaa, and that he is not who he says he is. Talk to Atton about this and keep going on through the conversation. Keep selecting the Light side type answers, which are usually at the top. If you have enough influence with Atton, you will eventually reach a story about a female Jedi who opened his mind to the Force. Closely afterwards, you will go into something about opening Atton's mind to the Force and go into a series of conversation choices where there is only one choice, and Atton will not say anything in between. After completing this, the game will state that Atton is now a Jedi Sentinel. He will level up, making Force powers now available to him.
Sleeping Kath Hounds on Nar ShaddaaUse the following trick to put Vogga's hounds to sleep easily. In the Nar Shaddaa Dock Apartments are two aliens in one room that keep saying 'If you thought you could sneak up on us you were wrong'. This is because they are talking about something they do not want you to hear. Use a party character skilled in Stealth, like Atton. Sneak in the room and they will have a conversation about putting Vogga's hounds to sleep using Juma Juice from the cantina. Go to the cantina and buy Juma Juice from the bartender. Then, go back to Vogga's place. Put the Juma Juice in the 'urn' in the corner. The hounds will drink away and fall asleep. Then, put Vogga to sleep by getting Handmaiden or Mira to dance for Vogga by talking to the Twi'lek in the same cantina where the Juma Juice was obtained. Vogga will watch the dance and fall asleep. You now can go into Vogga's treasure room without anyone knowing.

After Peragus is destroyed, Telos has no supply of fuel. On Nar Shaddaa, once you find Vanda the Hutt, ask him what he wants for Goto. You can tell him 'Supply Telos with fuel'. Because he runs a fuel company, he will supply you with it. The problem is you must get Goto for him. Later, Goto will end up in your party.
Silver lightsaber crystal on Nar ShaddaaYou can buy a silver saber lightsaber crystal from Geeda on Nar Shaddaa. Note: You may have to make the other merchant leave Nar Shaddaa to do this.
Lightsaber lens on Nar ShaddaaTo get the third lightsaber part needed (the lens), go to the catina and buy Juma Juice. Then, add Handmaiden to your party and talk to the Twi'lek in the back of the Catina. He will make Handmaiden dance for Vogga. Then, put the Juma Juice in the 'urn' in the corner of the room so that the Kath hounds fall asleep. Vogga will fall also asleep while watching Handmaiden dance. Then, open the door behind you and go to the first metal box to your left. You will get a lens. Talk to Bao-Dur and he will make it for you.
Getting out of the ghetto on Nar ShaddaaTo get out of the downtown or 'ghetto' part of Nar Shaddaa, you must do one simple thing. Talk to the Twi'lek girl in the Swoop gallery. She will bring up that she has the codes for C9-T9's cage. Next, you must persuade her to tell you more. Finally, persuade her to give you the codes to the cage so you can destroy the bot. Once at the computer, enter the prompt '[Computer] Overload droid'. It will overload and be destroyed. Finally, the man at the counter will ask you what happened. Just say something or use Force Control and say 'You saw nothing'. He will tell his boss the very same thing. After that happens, you will get a Holocron and be invited to the Jekk'Jekk' Tar. Be prepared. This is also how you get Mira to join your party, and meet the Jedi Master of the planet.
Opening the last locked door on Nar ShaddaaWhen your T3 droid is sold to the Hutts, you will reach the last door in the Warehouse Area. It is a combination lock. Use the following combination to unlock it. 1. Center: Counterclockwise. 2. Left: Counterclockwise. 3. Right: Clockwise). After you get what you need out of this room, you will be confronted by HK droids again. They are not that difficult -- stay and fight. You will find the HK chassis for your HK droid.
Palace northern storage room on OnderonThe combination for the lock is: 1) 66, 2) 45, 3) 39. It seemed more like a bedroom than a storage room.
Lose Starport Visa without payment on OnderonWhen on Onderon, you will get a Starport Visa from a Twi'lek bounty hunter. You can get this wiped for 500 credits by a Twi'lek in the cantina. If you go to the human woman in the cantina by the name of Sakare, she will offer you money, a weapon, or a crystal for the wiped Starport Visa. If you select 'I'll be going now' instead of choosing payment, you will give her the visa and have no chance for payment.
Sith Master Temple battle on OnderonDuring the mission where your main character is sent to Onderon to assist the queen, a character of your choosing is sent to do a mission at the same time. During the first mission, with the characters of your choosing, you must go through the jungle and reach a Sith temple and clear it out. After you have progressed through the temple, near the end should be three Sith Masters or Lords waiting in front of a large electrical orb hanging from the ceiling. They are very difficult from the rest of the forces you have encountered. If your entire party enters combat, you will not be able to move about the rest of the temple and will be trapped in the last area with them. Because they are difficult, this is very bad for you as they are not easy to take down. To have an easier time with them, enter solo mode and send one character down to attack. A blaster or melee weapon is fine. Get their attention and draw them out as far as you can. If the character dies, take the next one and shoot at them from a distance to get them out of the area and into the previous part of the base you just cleared out. Then, cancel solo mode. Try to get one of them to chase you. Go near one of the areas where you had to open an ancient box. The ancient control panel should be circular, and if you get the Sith to circle it a few times while chasing you, both you and him should get further apart. You can now turn to shoot with Rapid Shot or Sniper Shot while he is trying to get near you again. When you turn to fight, your allies should be up and have low health. You can restore them if desired. Take the opportunity to shoot at the single Sith if your teammate has it occupied. If he does not, simply run around the structure again until the distance is acceptable and blast him again until he is defeated. Having Mandalore is advisable, because he is a master with blasters and this makes it easier to defeat the Sith. After he dies, get another Sith to follow you. Repeat this process until all of them die. By doing this, you or your party can gang up on one Sith. With a three versus one battle (if your party is up), even though the Sith is stronger, he should be thoroughly outmatched. If your party does not divert the Sith's attention, you can still runabout the circle-like panel and take the time now and again to shoot him until he dies. This is much better then going into the room, being sealed in, and having your party massacred. Also, you can set the game play setting to easy in the menu. Doing these things should make your opponents mere nuisances. After this, return to the tomb area, ask the Madalorian to explore the area, open the tomb, and take the items (which includes Freedon Nadd's short lightsaber). Then, ask the Mandolorian to leave. You will then be returned to your main character for the second mission.
Battle circle on OnderonWhen you travel to Onderon, you will be forced to land on Dxun. Once you make your way through the jungle, you will find the Mandalorian camp. Search around and you will find the battle circle. Talk to one of the Mandalorinas there to enter it. They will brief you on the rules. Once you win all the battles you can, you will be told that if you want to battle again you must find a Mandalorian willing to sponsor you. Make your way back to the jungle and you will find the Mandalorian willing to sponsor you. He is in a tunnel that has different routes to take and he is red. Do his mission and he will then sponsor you. Ironically, this is the Mandalorian you will fight. So when you fight him, you get to use all your weapons. Break any rule and you will be told that you cheated. However, the Mandalorian will still fight you. Now your party mambers will join in, and you can take him out together. After you defeat him, the Mandalorian that told you that cheated earlier now says you won. Note: You can do this with all the characters. Also, you only get two warnings if you break their rules. If you do it a third time you will be disqualified and not be able to participate at all in the battle circle throughout your game.
Defeating mining robots on PeragusOn Peragus, you will have to deal with a lot of out of control mining robots in several areas. An easy way to defeat them is with the Plasma Tourch. It has a low damage rate against normal enemies, but its fine against robots, locked containers, locked doors, and even busted doors. Make sure you also keep this weapon and never sell it, as it will be useful in many areas of the game. Also, you will not get many credits for selling it.
Lost bomb on The RavangerWhen you are onboard the Ravanger, one mission will involve planting bombs in four different areas of the ship. At the end when you get to the fourth one, a screen with Kex will appear. He will be upset and say 'We have failed, we have lost the last bomb'. Knowing that, you have to either must find or make a new one. To find the bomb, go to the weapon hold where all the torpedoes are located. Inside will be security terminal. This will allow you to open the hatch of a torpedo and get the bomb that is inside. Later, return to the last destination and place it. You must then run out whichever way you came and escape while the Ravanger explodes.
Easy experience on TelosAt the Exchange door is a Rodian guard. If you choose to kill him, you will get Dark side points and experience. Kill him, get a journal entry, then go back. He should be there again. Kill him and you will get no Dark side points but some experience points. This will happen at least two to four times.
Distraction and kill on TelosWhen you crash land on the surface of Telos, you will encounter a lot of people in a small section of an area with buildings. An easy way to kill everyone is to make sure your party is behind you as you fight an enemy. When it gets to you and one other person, your party will just let you go one-on-one with the person while they fire at some other group. Make sure you take a slightly longer than needed to fight this person. Then, when you are done, attack the group that your party was firing at. Once you do this, your party usually is all dead except for you. You will have to fight what remains of the group solo. Normally, Atton Rand gets up with a low amount of health and starts shooting at another enemy. Once you are done with the group you are fighting at the moment, go to the one that Atton is shooting at. Keep repeating this process.
Gaining shields from Bao-Dur on TelosWhile on Telos with Bao-dur, find a container and put any shields that you have inside it. Begin a conversation with Bao-Dur. Ask him to make shields for you. Keep asking him to do so until he will not make anymore. Put them in the container. Repeat this until you feel you have enough, then take all your shields from the container and move on. This is useful for extra credits and components. Note: Any time you return to Citadel Station and Bao-Dur is in your party, he will make shields for you, even after you have constructed your lightsaber.
Defeating the Handmaidens on TelosWhen dueling the Handmaidens on Telos, you can use Force Whirlwind to defeat them. For some reason it does not stop the fight.
Opening doors on Telos - Military BaseTo open the doors on Telos, first get the codes to the ship. They are found in a cache near some dead robots. Go to the small white building on the right after you find the codes. There will be a computer terminal. Use the command: [Computer] Unlock Bay Door. After you open the doors, you must fight a giant robot. To defeat the robot, use the Plasma Torch while it is distracted by your party members. Make sure you use a lot of Medpacks on yourself. If you believe your character is going to die, switch the weapon to someone else in your party. Another way to defeat the robot is to throw frag or any grenades at it first, then use a double bladed sword while its back is turned. This may take several strikes of three to eight.
Defeating the giant battle droid on Telos - Military BaseTo defeat the droid inside the shuttle bay, place mines in front of the huge bay doors. At least ten are recommended. Keep placing them in a diagonal path heading counter-clockwise to the shuttle. If it survives your mines after it comes out of its room, it will be heavily damaged and can be easily defeated.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords is the sequel to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which was widely regarded as a major commercial and critical success. The original game, however, was developed by a different company, BioWare. According to the game's producers, the change of developers was primarily due to BioWare's occupation with other titles, such as Jade Empire and Dragon Age. BioWare is understood to have recommended Obsidian Entertainment as an alternative developer, having worked with many of Obsidian's key members when they were part of the now-defunct Black Isle Studios. The Sith Lords was constructed using an updated version of the original Knights of the Old RepublicOdyssey engine, which Obsidian obtained from BioWare.
ConceptionEdit
- 'The first story draft was pretty terrible, mostly because we weren't allowed to play K1 before drafting it, so we really knew nothing about the first game and were writing in the dark (Revan who?).'
- ―Chris Avellone, Lead Designer for The Sith Lords at Obsidian Entertainment, talking about story development.[src]
Kotor 2 Sith Academy Test Answers
Development of The Sith Lords began at approximately the same time that the original Knights of the Old Republic was released for the Xbox, on July 15, 2003. From the beginning, the production team had decided that the general atmosphere of the universe would be much darker than in Knights of the Old Republic and that the situation for the Jedi would be grim.[7] Chris Avellone, Lead designer for the project, felt that it would be a challenging task to create a sequel to what he felt was an amazing story that BioWare had developed for the original Knights of the Old Republic and that there would be a lot of pressure created for the team. He began with determining what was considered fun in the gameplay elements and what kind of story would have to be developed to complement those elements. The next step was to watchevery Star Wars movie, read every book and comic book about the Expanded Universe and even sitting through The Star Wars Holiday Special. To him, it was vital to understand what adventures had already been created, the parameters of the EU, and which bad ideas it was prudent to stay away from. Only then did he feel it was time to look at the overall vision of the project.[8]
The first phase involved distinguishing the character, or the hero's motivation, from player motivation and how the story would develop to integrate the two. In The Sith Lords, the character was a disgraced veteran of the Mandalorian Wars who was the last known Jedi in the galaxy and the target of dark sideassassins who were determined to eradicate all Jedi. Certain circumstances had severed the hero's connection to the Force, but the character was being given a chance to slowly regain that connection and rediscover what it meant to be a Jedi or Sith. The player motivation involved providing the teasers that would stimulate the player into wanting to continue the game and encourage the player to explore the story and locations fully. For example, this could have been accomplished by revealing critical information, introducing a new companion or acquiring new special abilities. It was felt that each stage of the game should ask and answerthe question 'Why should the player care?'[8]
The following phase involved devising the critical story points and filling in the story to link those points together. The purpose was to throw the player for a loop, but allow enough foreshadowing so that the player would stay interested. After the overall story had been developed, the game outline was divided up between the designers who would then go about filling in the details of their particular section of the storyline.[8]The main goal was to give the player high adventure, lots of alien races and new worlds to visit. The development team also wanted to create a story that would pull the player into seriously thinking about the difference in using the Force for good and evil and the consequences of those actions.[2]
Plot summaryEdit
The game takes place approximately five years after the conclusion of the first game, and during the times of the Dark Wars, and focuses on a mostly different set of characters. The conclusion of the first game varied depending on the choices of the player, with either the light side or dark side of the Force emerging triumphant—at the beginning of The Sith Lords, players specify which of these outcomes they wish the sequel to follow. Regardless of how the original game ended, however, the beginning of The Sith Lords sees the Sith having almost completely destroyed the Jedi Order. The character whom the player takes control of is a Jedi Knight banished from the Order after she/he went to fight in the Mandalorian Wars. The Sith believe him/her to be the last remaining Jedi, though in the beginning known simply as the Exile or Jedi Exile by characters in the game due to a customizable name.
Among the characters who join the main character are Kreia, who acts as a mentor to the Exile; Mira, a bounty hunter (she only joins if the player is light-side aligned on Nar Shaddaa); Hanharr, a Wookiee bounty hunter (he joins only if the player is dark-side aligned on Nar Shaddaa); Atton Rand, a former elite operative for the Sith during the Jedi Civil War who turned to smuggling after leaving the Sith, having found out that he was Force-sensitive (Atton is the love interest of a female Exile); Bao-Dur, a Zabrakengineer; Brianna, an EchaniHandmaiden (she only joins if the Exile is male and is one of the two love interests of a male Exile); Mical, a former Jedi Initiate turned historian (another love interest for a female Exile); Visas Marr, a MiralukaDark Jediapprentice to Darth Nihilus (she is the other love interest of a male Exile); and G0-T0, an interrogation droid. Several characters featured in the first game are also brought into this sequel, and a few can join the main character's party: T3-M4, an astromech droid; HK-47, an assassin droid; and Canderous Ordo (as Mandalore the Preserver), a Mandalorian. Enemies include Darth Sion, a Sith Lord with a shattered body, held together with the Force and Darth Nihilus, a being of hunger that fed on Force-sensitive energy. The new planets which the character may visit include Telos IV, the environmentally destroyed home of Carth Onasi; Nar Shaddaa, the Smugglers' Moon; the planet of Onderon; Onderon's jungle moon Dxun; and Peragus II. Korriban and Dantooine, which also appeared in the original KotOR, are also revisited. The Ebon Hawk, the ship used by the main character in the first game, once again is the main method of transportation.

Meetra SurikEdit
Meetra Surik (also known as the Jedi Exile) is the protagonist of Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Ten years before the events of the story, Surik fought as a Jedi General alongside Revan during the Mandalorian Wars. At the climactic Battle of Malachor V, she activated the Mass Shadow Generator, which caused over a thousand instantaneous deaths. Although this event ended the war, the trauma of sensing so many deaths through the Force caused Surik to instinctively sever her connection to the Force, and she was subsequently banished from the Jedi Order. After wandering the periphery of the galaxy for a decade, Surik is drawn into the conflict between the Republic and the Sith. Gathering companions and healing the dying Jedi Order in her journey, Surik ultimately eliminates the Lords of the Sith Triumvirate, encountering the shadows of her past along the way and conquering her inner demons. She eventually defeats Kreia in the Trayus Core on Malachor V, thus ending the threat she posed.
Darth SionEdit
Darth Sion (also known as the Lord of Pain) is one of the three Sith Lords in the Sith Triumvirate. Formerly a warrior serving under Exar Kun, he was killed in battle during the Great Sith War. However, he resurrected himself by harnessing his hatred through the Force, thereby allowing him to rise from the dead whenever he is defeated. His immortality comes at a great cost, however, because his wounds never heal and he constantly suffers from pain. During the Jedi Civil War, Sion sided with the Sith against the Republic and formed the Sith Triumvirate with Darth Traya. However, he betrayed Traya when he believed that she was growing too weak for the Sith, and led his forces on a five-year long extermination of the Jedi. When Meetra Surik returns to the galaxy after ten years of absence, Sion becomes obsessed with hunting her down. She evades him during each encounter. Eventually, Surik confronts Sion in the Trayus Academy on Malachor V, where she overcomes the Sith Lord and convinces him to abandon his hatred and willingly accept his death. Sion might have also died willingly as to end his pain.
Darth NihilusEdit
Darth Nihilus (also known as the Lord of Hunger) is one of the three Sith Lords in the Sith Triumvirate. His past life is almost completely shrouded in mystery, apart from the fact that he was a former Jedi who fought under Revan during the Mandalorian Wars. During the catastrophic end of the Battle of Malachor V, the man who became Nihilus miraculously survived Meetra Surik's activation of the Mass Shadow Generator, though the experience left him scarred. The strain of sensing so many deaths through the Force caused Nihilus to crave Force energy, and he kept himself alive on the dead planet by draining the Force from whatever vessel he came across. This misuse of Force power caused his physical form to degenerate until he has to encase his spirit inside his mask and armor in order to stay alive. He was eventually found by Darth Traya, who trained him and Darth Sion as her apprentices. The Sith Triumvirate then led a five-year long galactic extermination of the Jedi. Nihilus later aided Sion in overthrowing Traya, and then detached himself from Sion, causing major destruction and taking on an apprentice of his own, Visas Marr. Nihilus is later lured to Telos IV by Traya under the pretense that there are Jedi on the planet for him to consume. He is drawn into a confrontation with Meetra Surik and a redeemed Marr, who fight him on board the Ravager and eventually slay him.
Kreia (Darth Traya)Edit
Kreia is a mysterious old woman whom Meetra Surik meets in the Peragus Mining Facility after eluding Darth Sion and his Sith assassins. A powerful Force sensitive, Kreia serves as Surik's mentor through her journey to restore order to the Republic, helping her reestablish her connection to the Force. While her motives are initially shrouded in mystery, Surik gradually learns of Kreia's origins as Revan's original master. She was blamed for Revan's fall after the Mandalorian Wars and banished from the Jedi Order as punishment. Turning to the dark side, Kreia became Darth Traya, took control of the remnants of Revan's Sith Empire, and formed the Sith Triumvirate. Before she could take revenge against the Jedi, Kreia was betrayed by her two apprentices, Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus, who cut off her connection to the Force. A maddened Kreia attempts to use Surik as a wound to destroy the Force, thus ending both the Jedi and the Sith. Her plan fails when she is slain by Surik in the Trayus Core on Malachor V.
Atton RandEdit
Atton Rand is a former Republic soldier who served under Revan during the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War. After the wars, he became a smuggler. At one point in time, he was captured and imprisoned in the Peragus Mining Facility until Meetra Surik frees him. After escaping from Peragus on the Ebon Hawk, Rand travels around the galaxy with Surik as the ship's pilot. Along the journey, Surik learns more about Rand's past and his aversion to the Jedi; he has past experience in killing Jedi. She also discovers that Rand is Force-sensitive and decides to train him to be a Jedi Sentinel.
Bao-DurEdit
Bao-Dur is a Zabrak mechanical expert from Iridonia. He served under Meetra Surik during the Mandalorian Wars and was responsible for creating the Mass Shadow Generator during the Battle of Malachor V. He carries with him the guilt and shame of being ultimately responsible for so many deaths—both on the surface and in the orbiting fleets—when the device was activated to end the battle.
After the war was over, Bao-Dur wanted to use his skills to help people as a means of redeeming himself, so he participated in the Republic-sponsored Restoration Project on Telos IV. He meets Surik again when she crash-lands en route to a Restoration Zone, and decides to follow her around the galaxy. During their travels, Surik discovers that Bao-Dur is Force-sensitive, so she trains him to be a Jedi Guardian.
Bao-Dur has replaced his left arm with an energy-arm that allows him to break through force shields and deal more damage. He is also accompanied by a small, spherical remote droid which helps him with repairs.
Mical (Disciple)Edit
Mical (also known as Disciple) is a Force-sensitiveHuman who was briefly trained in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine as a Jedi youngling. By the time he was ready for further training, the Jedi Order had fallen apart due to the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War, so his training was discontinued. He sought to preserve the Jedi's legacy by becoming a historian and soldier in the service of the Republic. He also picked up some medical skills.

While exploring the ruins of the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, Disciple encounters Meetra Surik, who is searching for the surviving Jedi Masters. She welcomes him to join her when he offers to use his knowledge and skills to help her. Although Disciple is initially reluctant to reveal his past, he eventually tells her about his Jedi training and how he met her before in his childhood. He accepts her offer to train him again and becomes a Jedi Consular.
Visas MarrEdit
Visas Marr is a Miraluka, a race of Force-sensitives who can 'see' through the Force, but are otherwise effectively blind. During the Dark Wars, the Jedi Order tried to hold a meeting on Katarr (Marr's homeworld), hoping that their presence would be masked by the Miralukas' strong Force sensitivity. However, the meeting was disrupted when Darth Nihilus showed up and used his Force drain to destroy all life on Katarr. Marr, the sole survivor, was taken prisoner by Nihilus, who forced her to become his apprentice.
As Meetra Surik rebuilds her connection to the Force, Nihilus senses her growing presence and sends Marr to hunt down and kill her. Marr ambushes Surik on the Ebon Hawk but Surik defeats her and spares her. Impressed by Surik's skill and her perceived destiny, Marr abandons the dark side and pledges allegiance to Surik.
MiraEdit
Mira is a Human female raised and trained by the Mandalorians, who destroyed her home and enslaved her during the Mandalorian Wars. She lost her adopted family when the Mass Shadow Generator was activated during the Battle of Malachor V. After the battle, she ended up on Nar Shaddaa, where she became a bounty hunter. During this time, she got into a conflict with the Wookiee bounty hunter Hanharr, who relentlessly tries to hunt down and kill her.
After Meetra Surik arrives on Nar Shaddaa, Jedi MasterZez-Kai Ell secretly engages Mira to protect Surik from the other bounty hunters, who are seeking to collect Goto's bounty on Jedi. When Visquis, the local Exchange boss, tries to lure Surik into a trap, Mira knocks out Surik and goes in place of her. However, she gets captured by Visquis, who forces her to fight Hanharr in the arena. She defeats Hanharr and leaves him apparently dead before escaping. She then joins Surik's companions in rescuing Surik from G0-T0's yacht and accompanies Surik on her quest after that. Surik discovers Mira's Force sensitivity later and trains her to be a Jedi Sentinel.
G0-T0 (Goto)Edit
G0-T0 is a planning droid created by the Aratech Repulsor Company to assist in rebuilding the Republic after the Jedi Civil War. After some time, the droid found itself unable to follow both of its directives—rebuild the Republic and follow all Republic laws—at the same time, so it chose to follow only the former. It set up a smuggling ring on Nar Shaddaa and pretended to be a proxy for a man called Goto, who does not exist in reality and appears only in holograms.
G0-T0 placed a bounty on live Jedi with the intention of getting them to help rebuild and stabilize the Republic. However, the bounty hunters misinterpreted G0-T0's intentions and simply killed Jedi. G0-T0 also reactivated a hidden HK Manufacturing Plant on Telos IV which started producing HK-50 series assassin droids to hunt and kill Jedi.
When Meetra Surik comes to Nar Shaddaa, she is captured and taken on board G0-T0's yacht, where the droid reveals its plans for the Republic and asks for her help. After Surik escapes, G0-T0 presents itself on the Ebon Hawk as 'Goto's gift' and insists on accompanying Surik and watching her stabilize Telos, Dantooine, and Onderon. Surik later deduces that 'Goto' is in fact a droid pretending to be a person.
T3-M4Edit
T3-M4 is a utility droid which accompanied Revan on his search for the Star Forge. After the Battle of Rakata Prime, Revan left for the Unknown Regions and gave T3-M4 special instructions to seek any Jedi for help if they lost contact with each other.
Five years later, T3-M4 finds an injured Meetra Surik on board the heavily damaged Ebon Hawk. It manages to repair and navigate the ship to the nearby Peragus Mining Facility. After Surik awakens in the medical bay, T3-M4 helps her gain access to the fuel depot before it is attacked and disabled by a HK-50 assassin droid. Surik saves T3-M4 and they escape from Peragus together just before the system is destroyed. Since then, T3-M4 has remained in Surik's team and followed her on her journey across the galaxy.
HK-47Edit
HK-47 is an assassin droid created by Revan after the Battle of Malachor V to assassinate his rivals. The droid was damaged and captured on a mission shortly before Revan was captured and rehabilitated by the Jedi Order. HK-47 reunited with its master on Tatooine later and accompanied him on his search for the Star Forge.
Some time after Revan left for the Unknown Regions, HK-47 was damaged and left on board the Ebon Hawk, which eventually comes into the possession of Meetra Surik and her companions. Surik repairs HK-47, who recognizes her as its new master and follows her around the galaxy.
Canderous Ordo (Mandalore)Edit
Canderous Ordo (also known as Mandalore) is a Mandalorian who fought in the Mandalorian Wars against the Republic. He joined a redeemed Revan on his quest for the Star Forge and fought at the Battle of Rakata Prime against Darth Malak.
After the Jedi Civil War ended, Ordo claimed the position of Mandalore (leader of the Mandalorians) with Revan's help. He built his base on the forest moon of Dxun and started working on reuniting the scattered Mandalorian clans and rebuilding Mandalorian power.
When Meetra Surik is forced to land on Dxun en route to Onderon, she comes across the Mandalorian base and meets Mandalore. Mandalore promises to help her secure passage to Iziz (Onderon's capital) if she can prove herself worthy. Surik manages to impress the Mandalorians through her achievements on Dxun and earns their respect. In return, Mandalore keeps his word and accompanies her to Iziz to find Jedi MasterKavar. After that, he decides to join Surik on her quest to reunite the surviving Jedi and defeat the Sith.
Brianna (Handmaiden)Edit
Brianna (also known as Handmaiden) is a Human-Echani female who served as a handmaiden to Jedi Master Atris at the secret Jedi academy on Telos IV. She has five Echani half-sisters, who also serve as Atris's handmaidens.
When Meetra Surik arrives at Citadel Station, Atris sends Handmaiden to steal the Ebon Hawk and lure Surik to the academy. Surik shows up and convinces Atris to join the fight against the Sith and find the other surviving Jedi Masters. Before Surik leaves, Handmaiden speaks to her and expresses her interest in the ways of the Force.
If the player sets Surik as a male character, Handmaiden will sneak on board the Ebon Hawk and accompany him on his quest. After gaining sufficient influence with Handmaiden, the player can train her to be a Jedi Guardian.
HanharrEdit
Hanharr is a Wookiee male from Kashyyyk. A ruthless hunter and brutal sociopath, he slaughtered his entire village in cold blood, believing that this would prevent them from being enslaved by the Czerka Corporation. He eventually ended up on Nar Shaddaa and became a bounty hunter. He also got into a conflict with Mira.
When Meetra Surik arrives in Nar Shaddaa and is about to walk into a trap set by Visquis, the local Exchange boss, Mira knocks out Surik and goes in place of her. Visquis captures Mira and forces her to fight Hanharr in the arena. She defeats Hanharr and leaves him apparently dead. Hanharr is secretly revived by Kreia, who manipulates him to do her bidding. He appears for the last time on Malachor V, where he fights Mira again and dies by her hand.
If the player sets Surik as a dark side character, Hanharr will kill Mira and join Surik's party.
AtrisEdit
Atris is a Jedi Master who served as a member of the Jedi Council during the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War. She was deeply committed to the Jedi Code and felt betrayed when Meetra Surik defied the Council and followed Revan to fight in the Mandalorian Wars. When Surik returned after the Battle of Malachor V to face the Council's judgment, Atris was the first to condemn her and call for her to be banished.
During the Dark Wars, Atris called the Jedi to attend a secret meeting on Katarr. She then leaked out information about the meeting and hoped that doing so would lure the Sith out of the shadows. However, her plan backfired when Darth Nihilus showed up and used his Force drain to destroy all life on Katarr—leaving only Visas Marr alive.
Atris retreated into seclusion on Telos IV, where she established a secret Jedi academy in the polar regions and recruited the Handmaiden Sisters to be her bodyguards. Gradually and unknowingly, she fell to the dark side as she immersed herself in studying the Sith holocrons she had collected in order to better understand the ways of the Sith.
When Surik arrives at Citadel Station, Atris sends Handmaiden to steal the Ebon Hawk and lure Surik to the academy. She initially blames Surik for the destruction of Peragus, but later reluctantly accepts Surik's offer to help her defeat the Sith. She instructs Surik to find the other surviving Jedi Masters and reunite them in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine.
SynopsisEdit
(Note: This is based on the canonical female light side version of the game. Gender, Force alignment, order of planets visited and other variables can differ depending on the input of the player.)
Escape from PeragusEdit
The story is set in 3951 BBY, four years after Revan, the protagonist of Knights of the Old Republic, departed for the Unknown Regions. Revan's ship, the Ebon Hawk, emerges badly damaged in the Peragus system, with six passengers on board: two droids that belonged to Revan (T3-M4 and a disassembled HK-47), two other droids (3C-FD and a HK-50 assassin droid), and two unconscious Humans (Meetra Surik and Kreia). T3-M4 manages to dock the ship into the Peragus Mining Facility, where Surik is put into a kolto tank in the medical bay, while Kreia, assumed to be dead, is placed in the morgue.
After regaining consciousness, Surik finds Kreia, who wakes up from her trance. She explores her surroundings and finds a smuggler, Atton Rand, whom she frees from a prison cell. The three of them seem to be the only persons alive in the entire facility, which is covered with dead miners and crawling with assault-programmed mining droids that are 'mining' organics. Surik eventually learns that the HK-50 assassin droid is responsible for all the deaths and damage at the facility, and destroys the droid.
In the meantime, another ship arrives at Peragus: the Harbinger, the Republic capital ship transporting Surik to Telos IV before they ended up at Peragus. When Surik, Kreia, and Rand—in an attempt to escape from Peragus—boarded the Harbinger, they discover that the ship has been overrun by the Sith under Darth Sion. As Kreia approaches Sion in an attempt to distract him, Surik and Rand escape through one of the ship's fuel pipes.
Meanwhile, as Sion cuts off Kreia's hand with his lightsaber, Surik discovers her newly formed Force bond with Kreia when she unexpectedly feels Kreia's pain. Surik and Rand continue moving and meet up with T3-M4. Upon reaching the hangar bay, they board the Ebon Hawk and fend off attacks from the Sith while Kreia, who has escaped from Sion, catches up with them and gets on board too. As they fly into an asteroid field surrounding Peragus II, the Harbinger fires at the Ebon Hawk but misses and hits one of the asteroids, causing a series of explosions that completely destroy the mining facility, asteroid field, and the Peragus system itself.
Refuge on TelosEdit
Using the astrogation charts recovered from the Harbinger, Surik and her companions make their way to Citadel Station, the space station orbiting the war-ravaged Telos system. Upon their arrival, they are immediately disarmed and detained by the Telos Security Force under Lieutenant Dol Grenn for the duration of the investigation of the destruction of Peragus—not coincidentally, the main fuel supplier for Citadel Station, without which the station cannot maintain its orbit around Telos. During the investigation, a mysterious woman steals the Ebon Hawk with T3-M4 on board.
Chodo Habat, the leader of the Ithorian team responsible for the restoration efforts on Telos, offers to help Surik restore her lost connection to the Force and provide her a shuttle off Citadel Station in exchange for dealing with their rivals, Czerka Corporation. Despite Kreia's disapproval of an alliance with the Ithorians, Surik accepts Habat's offer, exposes some of Czerka's illegal activities, and flies to the surface of Telos IV.
On Telos IV, the shuttle gets attacked and damaged by a Czerka air defense turret. Surik and her companions manage to crash-land in a restoration zone near the Zabrak mechanic Bao-Dur, who served under Surik during the Mandalorian Wars. He has been working with the Ithorians to restore Telos IV after the wars.
Surik allows Bao-Dur to join them and lead them to an abandoned Republic military base. Along the way, they fight some Czerka mercenaries and some hostile creatures. At the base, Bao-Dur points out a breach in the planetary defense system in the polar regions as the most likely location of the Ebon Hawk. Surik and her companions then board another shuttle from the base to the polar regions.
Hidden AcademyEdit
The shuttle crash-lands on a polar plateau after being shot at by three HK-50 assassin droids. After destroying the droids, Surik discovers a Jedi academy hidden beneath the plateau.
Upon entering, they are surrounded by the Handmaiden Sisters, who disarm and arrest them. Surik is brought before Atris, one of the Jedi Masters who previously banished her from the Jedi Order for defying the Jedi Council's order to stay out of the Mandalorian Wars. Surik offers to help Atris deal with the new Sith threat, and find any Jedi who may have survived the Jedi Purge. Impressed that Surik holds no grudge against her, Atris allows Surik to take back the Ebon Hawk and leave with her companions.
When the group assembles again on the Ebon Hawk, T3-M4 informs Surik that it has secretly downloaded a holorecord of her trial from Atris' archives. It turns out that there are four Jedi Masters in hiding—Zez-Kai Ell, Kavar, Vrook Lamar, and Lonna Vash. She decides to find them to discuss a plan of action against the Sith and maybe even figure out why she lost her connection to the Force.
Nar ShaddaaEdit
Their first stop is Nar Shaddaa, a moon ofNal Hutta. The massive population and large cityscape of the moon make it easy for anyone to hide and lay low for a while. In her attempt to find Jedi Master Zez-Kai Ell, Surik actively provokes the Exchange, a galactic-wide criminal organization, and tries to fend off some Jedi-hunting bounty hunters.
When Surik is captured by the Exchange, the bounty hunter Mira teams up with Surik's companions to save her on G0-T0's yacht. During the rescue, the yacht's cloaking gets sabotaged and Vogga, a local Huttcrime lord whose freighters had been raided by G0-T0's yacht, quickly seizes the opportunity to take his revenge. Surik and her companions manage to escape in time on the Ebon Hawk just as the yacht explodes. G0-T0 survives the explosion and joins Surik's group.
After returning to Nar Shaddaa, Surik finally finds Zez-Kai Ell, who answers her questions and teaches her a lightsaber form. He also agrees to go to Dantooine and wait there while Surik finds the other missing Jedi Masters.
DxunEdit
After leaving Nar Shaddaa, Surik seeks Jedi Master Kavar on Onderon. As the Ebon Hawk enters the Onderon system and joins the long queue into the starport on Iziz (Onderon's capital), Onderon starfighters under Colonel Tobin's command open fire at the Ebon Hawk and start a space battle above Iziz. The Ebon Hawk suffers heavy damage during the battle and has to crash-land on Dxun, a nearby jungle moon.
While exploring Dxun in search of a way out, Surik encounters a group of Mandalorians led by Canderous Ordo, who is now known as Mandalore. Mandalore promises to provide her passage to Iziz if she can impress them. Surik does so and gains the Mandalorians' trust and respect. Mandalore then accompanies Surik to Iziz on his personal shuttle.
OnderonEdit
Once Surik lands on Iziz, she becomes aware of the political crisis in the city. General Vaklu has declared martial law and has been rallying support for a coup against his cousin, Queen Talia. Surik finds Mandalore's friend, Dhagon Ghent, and helps him get cleared of charges for the murder of Captain Sullio. In return, Ghent arranges for Surik to meet Jedi Master Kavar, who has been secretly serving as a bodyguard and advisor to Queen Talia.
Surik and Kavar's meeting at the cantina is cut short when Colonel Tobin and his soldiers show up. Before fleeing, Kavar tells Surik he will contact her later; Surik and her companions fight their way out of Iziz and return to Dxun.
DantooineEdit
Surik leaves Dxun on the repaired Ebon Hawk and travels to the grassland planet Dantooine, which is still recovering from the Sith attack on the Jedi Enclave four years ago. The surviving populace have established Khoonda, a makeshift government based in the former Matale residence, under the leadership of their Administrator, Terena Adare. Because of the damage done to Dantooine by the Jedi Civil War, the people are suspicious and distrustful of the Jedi, or simply any lightsaber-wielding person.
Concealing her Jedi identity, Surik interacts with the people and hears rumors that Adare has connections to the Jedi. Adare reveals to Surik that she is indeed maintaining contact with Jedi Master Vrook Lamar because she needs his help to protect the people; the Khoonda Militia is too small. Adare also grants Surik permission to search the ruins of the Jedi Enclave. After fighting several laigreks in the ruins, Surik finds Mical, a former Jedi Initiate whose training was disrupted by the Mandalorian Wars. Now a historian and soldier in the service of the Republic, Mical has been sent by Carth Onasi to protect any Jedi artifacts he can find in the ruins. He joins her team and agrees to help her find the missing Jedi Masters. Surik later finds a datapad in the library that shows that Lamar has been captured by mercenaries.
Surik goes to the mercenary enclave in the crystal cave, where she overhears their plan to sell Lamar to the Exchange. After she tries to save Lamar by force, the Jedi Master reprimands her for acting on impulse: he had deliberately allowed himself to be captured so that he can infiltrate the mercenaries and stop them from attacking Khoonda. Just as Surik exits the cave, she meets Azkul, the mercenary leader, who asks her to help them destroy Khoonda. Surik refuses and fights her way back to Khoonda.
At Khoonda, Surik bolsters the stronghold's defenses by activating droids and security systems, as well as recruiting more people to join the militia. The Battle of Khoonda ultimately ends with the mercenaries' defeat and Azkul's death. After the battle, Lamar answers Surik's questions and teaches her a new lightsaber form. Through her courageous actions, Surik has not only gained the gratitude of the people of Dantooine, but also restored their faith in the Jedi.
Return to DxunEdit
As Surik leaves Dantooine, she receives word from the Mandalorians on Dxun that Jedi Master Kavar has made contact and wants her to meet him in Iziz. On the same day, General Vaklu declares Queen Talia guilty of treason and starts the Onderon Civil War. The situation becomes more complicated when the Sith and Mandalorians get involved too by supporting Vaklu and Talia respectively.
The Sith are using the tomb of Freedon Nadd on Dxun as their base. Surik handpicks members from her group to form a separate team to join the Mandalorians in launching an attack on the tomb; she would lead another team to Iziz to stop Vaklu and save the queen. Surik's companions and the Mandalorians fight their way into the tomb, and defeat all the Sith forces there.
Return to OnderonEdit
Surik, along with Kreia, fly a salvaged Basilisk war droid into Iziz and participate in the battle. They fight their way up the Sky Ramp and into the Royal Palace. With Kavar's help, they defeat Vaklu and his forces, and save Queen Talia, thereby ending the Onderon Civil War.
After the battle, Kreia secretly revives Colonel Tobin, who was knocked unconscious, and orders him to deliver a message to Darth Nihilus to go to Telos IV and destroy the last of the Jedi.
KorribanEdit
Surik goes to Korriban to find Jedi Master Lonna Vash in the Sith Academy at the Valley of the Dark Lords. However, she shows up too late as Vash is already dead. She also encounters Darth Sion and briefly duels him until Kreia telepathically advises her to escape. Surik also explores a cave that leads her to Ludo Kressh's tomb, where she has visions of her companions and Revan.
Rebuilding the RepublicEdit
Throughout her journey across the galaxy, Surik learns much about her companions' past, discovers that some of them are Force-sensitive, and trains them in the ways of the Jedi. Her apprentices would later restore the Jedi Order. She also learns that Kreia was Revan's first master, that Kreia was banished by the Jedi and later betrayed by the Sith, and that Revan has gone to the Unknown Regions to counter an unseen threat from beyond the Outer Rim.
When visiting Dantooine and Onderon, Surik is caught up in conflicts between the weakened Republic and two powers aiming to weaken it further—the Exchange and Onderon separatists. Following G0-T0's request, she restores order and stability in the two systems, and prevents the Republic from losing them.
Kreia's fallEdit
When the three surviving Jedi Masters—Zez-Kai Ell, Kavar, and Vrook—finally gather at the rebuilt Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, Surik learns from them that the Jedi Council did not cut off her connection to the Force. In fact, she did so herself when she created a wound in the Force by activating the Mass Shadow Generator during the Battle of Malachor V; the trauma of sensing so many deaths through the Force caused her to instinctively break her connection to the Force.
Surik fails to persuade the Jedi Masters to unite against the Sith. The Masters explain that the new Sith threat, which caught them off guard, fed on Force users, and caused widespread death and destruction wherever the Jedi are present. That was what happened during the Jedi conclave at Katarr, Visas Marr's homeworld. The Masters are worried that Surik will lead the Sith to them and eventually cause the death of the Force, hence they decided to expel her from the Jedi Order.
At the moment, Kreia shows up, berates the Jedi Masters for their arrogance and ignorance, and uses an extreme form of Force drain to make them undergo the same loss Surik felt at Malachor V. The Jedi Masters, unable to live without the Force, die almost immediately. Although Surik retains her connection to the Force, she becomes unconscious while Atris' Handmaidens dash into the Enclave and take Kreia to their mistress as a prisoner.
When Surik comes to, she finds out from her companions about what happened, and returns to the Jedi academy on Telos IV to find Kreia. She figures out that the Force bond between her and Kreia is lethal; this means that if Kreia dies, Surik will die as well.
In the meantime, Kreia reveals to Atris her true identity: Darth Traya. She also points out that Atris, in the process of studying Sith holocrons to better understand the ways of the Sith, has unknowingly fallen to the dark side. Kreia then leaves.
When Surik arrives at the Jedi academy, she learns from Atris that Darth Nihilus and his Sith forces are about to attack Telos. She also confronts the fallen Atris, defeats her in a lightsaber duel, but spares her life. Atris then further reveals to Surik that Kreia has threatened to destroy the Force by killing herself in the Trayus Core on Malachor V. Surik goes off to deal with Nihilus first.
Battle of TelosEdit
See also: Battle of Telos IV
Surik arrives at Citadel Station and sees that the Sith attack has already begun. Fighting their way through the station, Surik and her companions manage to reach an orbital shuttle, which they use to board Darth Nihilus's ship, the Ravager. Once on board, Surik, accompanied by Mandalore and Visas Marr, plants charges on the ship before heading to the bridge to confront Nihilus.
During their duel, Nihilus attempts to consume Surik in the same way he did to other Jedi, but it proves to be his undoing—rather than draining the Force from Surik, he becomes weakened by the echoes of the wound in the Force that she carries with her. With Marr's help, Surik ultimately defeats Nihilus and claims his mask. Surik and her companions then escape from the Ravager just before it blows up. Telos is safe.
Upon Surik's return to Citadel Station, Carth Onasi has a private conversation with her, tells her the story of how he met Revan, and asks her to find Revan in the Unknown Regions. After Surik leaves, Onasi meets Bastila Shan and talks to her about Revan.
The final battle: Malachor VEdit
Surik and her companions travel to Malachor V, where the war-torn planet's unstable environment causes the Ebon Hawk to crash-land. Surik fights her way across the planet's inhospitable landscape into the Trayus Academy. After defeating the Sith forces along the way, she encounters Darth Sion and duels him. Despite Sion's regenerative abilities, Surik erodes his will through words and convinces him to willingly accept death, thus ending his immortality.
Surik then confronts Kreia in the Trayus Core. Kreia refuses redemption and challenges Surik to kill her and silence the echoes of Malachor V. Surik then duels Traya and emerges victorious.
Upon her defeat, Kreia gazes into the future, revealing the future of Surik's companions, of the planets they visited, of the Mandalorians, and of the Republic. She also says that Revan came to Malachor V after the Mandalorian Wars and again after the Jedi Civil War, and that he discovered evidence of the 'true Sith,' whom he had gone to fight 'in his own way.'
Meanwhile, on Malachor V's surface, Bao-Dur's remote powers up and reactivates the Mass Shadow Generator despite G0-T0's attempts to stop it. As Malachor V collapses upon itself once again, the Ebon Hawk arrives in time to save Surik while Kreia plunges to her death in the Trayus Core. Surik then heads off to the Unknown Regions to search for Revan.

If the player chooses to follow the dark side, they can throw Kreia into the core of Malachor V and assume the throne of headmistress of Trayus Academy. Meanwhile, G0-T0 destroys Bao-Dur's remote and deactivates the Mass Shadow Generator, keeping the planet intact.
SequelsEdit
Both Obsidian and LucasArts have expressed a desire to yet again expand upon the franchise, LucasArts' representatives stating they have no intention of abandoning Knights of the Old Republic. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 was in development, but was cancelled sometime in 2004 due to a difficult period for LucasArts. In March2007, news of a spin-off was made official when 'Aristotle,' owner of a Knights fansite, interviewed several staff members of LucasArts.
Later in the year, Electronic Gaming Monthly reported in the rumors section of their May 2007 issue that BioWare had hired an online team for work on a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on the Knights of the Old Republic series.[13] The game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, was finally and officially announced in July2008 by EA CEO John Riccitiello.[1] It was finally released December 20th, 2011, and was generally well received by the critics.
Behind the scenesEdit
Wookieepedia has 39 audio files related to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.
In June 2009, in Kotaku Australia interview Chris Avellone revealed the 'true Sith' planned to be remnants of Naga Sadow's Sith Empire, 'orchestrating the collapse of the Republic from behind the scenes, interfering with key events to cause echoes through the Force and leave it ripe for invasion – hopefully without a shot even being fired.'[14]
Although the game did allow the game character be named freely, The Old Republic: Revan—Drew Karpyshyn novel released November2011—did reveal her canonical name to be Meetra Surik, and appearance that didn't match any of the available female appearances on the game.[15]
On July 21st 2015, over ten years after the original release of The Sith Lords,Aspyr Media released a port of the game for both Mac and Linux.[5] Aspyr also added several new features to the game including:
- 37 Achievements for both Steam and Game Center [16]
- Gamepad support
- Support for widescreen and native resolutions, including Retina/4k/5k resolutions
- Steam Cloud saves (Steam only)
- Steam Workshop support (Steam only)
- A number of bug fixes.
These features were also passed onto the PC Windows version.[17]
An official petition has been started on Aspyr's website for those interested in a potential mobile version of the game.[18]
Game modsEdit

Because of the flexibility of the game's Odyssey game engine, The Sith Lords is often a subject of modding in the gaming community. A number of modding groups have attempted to recreate and restore missing or cut content left in the game files.
Team Gizka's project was the first of these, founded in 2004 to promise restored content and save the cut M4-78 Droid planet. In early 2008 their project reached closed beta stage. Other modders, using the handles DarthStoney and Zbyl, created a restoration mod inspired by Team Gizka which accomplished all of Team Gizka's initial goals, including a restored HK factory and various bug fixes. As of late 2010, the Team Gizka site was disbanded.
However, in 2014, a full-scale mod known as The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod was released that restores most of the cut content.
Along the 2015 Asphyr Media release, 'The Sith Lords Restored Content Modification' was released on Steam, providing bug fixes, restored cut content and some newly created content. Among the contents in the mod release was M4-78 planet.[19]

Once you land on Korriban, search the area to the right and the left of the Ebon Hawk and Kreia will contact you through the force bond. You can listen to her info about each Sith tomb to gain dark side points. There are two more tombs up ahead. If you search the skeletal corpses laying about the area you will be attacked by two or three hssiss each time. These can be annoying battles, but they will reward you with a good amount of experience.
Continue walking south until you reach a cave that is filled with dark energy. Kreia advises that you investigate the academy first. Listen to her and continue to the south. There are a few annoying tuk'ata outside of the academy, but at this point in the game they should be no problem. Continue inside the building where you will find more of these goat creatures and some Sith assassins. Darth Sion is waiting for you somewhere inside the academy, so be prepared.
The Academy
You will reach a crossroads of sorts inside the academy. You are traveling from the north so first check the locked door to the northeast. There are some footlockers in this room as well as a trio of Sith assassins waiting to strike. The next stop is the hallway directly to the west. This leads to the dormitories and some computer terminals. In order to enter the rest of the academy you will need to enter into the automated training program. This area also contains many cloaked Sith Assassins and footlockers.

When you reach the terminal enter as a new recruit. Then select the student ID number 3401726-B853S5O0X001. Now, grant yourself access to the course materials and the doorway that leads to the north western passage (from the middle of the academy) will open up. Travelling to this area is necessary because you will receive thorium charges needed to open the locked door at the very west of the academy. Thorium charges can also be used to blow open the weapons cache in the woods outside of the Mandalorian outpost. Read the working computer console in this area to gain knowledge needed to pass the written test.
Return to the training console and enter these answers to pass the test:
Return to the training console and enter these answers to pass the test:
- Freedon Nadde
- 20
- Gizka
- I always lie
- Passion, strength, power, victory
You will now have level 2 access and can enter the training room which is down the eastern hall and to the south. Use the console in this room to begin the training sequence. Unfortunately for you, the program is corrupted and level 16 training initiates. This involves the cages being open in this room. Since you know this before hand, line the cages with mines before using the console and save yourself the trouble of killing the beasts manually.
No matter how well you fare in this battle the program will declare that you have failed the test. The torture room across from this area opens up. Enter this room to find one of the Jedi Council dead in a cell. Take her data pad and enter her name into the computer console to open up the front door. Return to the center of the academy and you will face Darth Sion. Kreia informs you that this battle is futile, and you escape out the front door. Now is a good time to investigate the Shyrack cave outside.

This quest is lengthy and optional but it yields some sweet loot. As the name suggests this cave is filled with Shyrack. If you have a character with level three force lightning than this area presents no problem. You will want to search all of the possible paths in order to collect the relics hidden in the darkness. Once you reach the chasm at the eastern end of the cave there is a point where you will have to continue the journey without help from your party.
When you enter the secret tomb you will relive the recruitment by Malak. Choose to join him on his path to the dark side and you will face him and his recruits in battle. Malak attacks with a light sabre and he is very susceptible to force powers. After a few attacks, he fades away. Search the paths to the north and south to find some useful items and battle pairs of shyracks.

Continue to the east and you will encounter a next of shyracks. If this is not the final planet you have visited, this battle may prove too difficult to complete. However, if you are nearing the end of the game, simply use group attacks to bring down the flying pests. Past this test of strength there is another test of will. You will have a vision taking you back to Dxun during the Mandalorian crusade. Force the men to charge through the mines to gain more dark side points.
Travel down the hall to the south of the mine field to find some items, then continue to the east. First take the next path to the south where you will find a fallen Jedi guarded by Hssiss. Then, take the path north. You will face a vision of your companions in battle when you enter the next area. Ignore the vision to stay with dark side behavior. You must strike down Kreia to end this scene.

The final room is guarded by Revan. Beat the vision to receive another lightsabre and some other items hidden in the tomb. When you have opened the other doors, leave through the door to the east and run back through the cave. Return to the Ebon Hawk and speak to Kreia. She will state that the last of the Jedi can be found at the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine.
